since I prefer to carry a revolver as my daily "in the field gun", I find myself carrying my .357 SP101 about 90% of my waking hours. There's just nothing more comforting to me than a good fitting hunk of steel:)

The CW9 is the only polygun of my carry guns, and it sees the other 10% of the carry time. Had I been able to find...and afford an MK9 at the time I bought the CW9, I would have no tupperware in the available carry line up.

I also have an SP101, but it's with a 3-inch, .38 Special (ONLY, not 357) barrel. I seldom carry it because of the weight and bulkiness. When I do carry it, I use an Uncle Mike's IWB in the small of my back, covered with a jacket or untucked shirt.

Run OWB, inside the belt through the loop.
It's SWEET!

I carry my 3" SP101 .357 in an OWB (under a cover shirt or jacket in season) made by LoboLeather. It's slotted for a forward cant on strong side, or vertical for cross draw from weak side. I have always used this type holster on strong side using the cross draw slots. This makes the muzzle only a couple of inches lower than the belt bottom edge and keeps the grip above my elbow when my arm is dangling at my side. This gives me the best concealment I've found with an OWB carry, and allows me to "feel" the location of the gun (and cover condition) with my elbow rather than my hand. It's a very comfortable carry.

I realize that not everyone can dress as "casual" as I do for work, but in a concealed carry only situation one still has to work around their choices. Even carryine IWB there's still the need for cover.

As for the weight differences of a few ounces in a carry gun .... I still don't understand all the drama. I carry, and have carried almost all my life, more weight in knives, tools, pocket change, keys, etc, in my pants pockets than the weight of any carry gun+ammo that I own. Like most of us, I could stand to lose 15-20 lbs of ME and do myself more good than fretting over a few extra ounces in my carry gun.;)

Thanks for the details. I'm sure I'd carry my SP101 more often if I had a suitable OWB holster like yours. Though "weight" is not the key issue with me, my Kahr PM9 is much lighter, slimmer, and easier to conceal with the variety of holsters I have for it, so that's my main carry for now. For now, I'll keep the SP101 by the bed or in the car and carry it occasionally to maintain my "bond" with it. Still wouldn't take for that Ruger revolver, though. Really sweet gun!!

One of or the primary reason I moved on was the lack of decent sights. Having just realized the M&P340 apparently fixes this problem in spades, I'm off to the gun show tomorrow. If that doesn't work out, I'll just buy one blind through Davidsons and my favorite LGS will be getting get more of my money.

Thanks so much.
I lift weights and destroy everything I touch.
So I don't work on my guns unless I have to - LOL!.
My gunsmith will install the sight for $10 bucks
while he does his trigger magic to it.

What I am interested in is getting a sweet combat stainless steel trigger.
Like it looks like you have.
Do you have a source I can use?

I did round the edges and polish it. It's seen plenty of use over the years and has never given me a problem (mechanical or cosmetic).

At my CCW training today, the instructor was asked how many guns you are allowed to carry. Answer is as many as you want, as long as they're on the permit. He proceeded to tell the story (he swore it's true) of a guy who shows up for class carrying 4 huge guns - Left and right shoulder holsters with left and right OWB. He said on was a .50 at least 1 foot long, a 45-70 Caswell (?) and a couple others. Heck if I sat down with all that I couldn't get back up. So I'd say if you want to carry a heavy gun go for it. After all Jocko carries that light PM9 so he can carry his Harley in the other pocket.

glad to be in Texas. We can carry as many handguns of whatever we have available, concealed, and trade every day or buy new guns every day, and nothing has to be on a permit.

Same in Florida. Nothing on the permit.
Plus it's a concealed weapon permit here.
Not just guns. Knives (even double edge push daggers), black jacks....
If you can legally own it, and conceal it, you can carry it.

I can sometimes get real stainless steel triggers, but it's difficult.
Got one for my S&W 342 ti and with an action job it's amazing.

My 629-2 came with a stainless trigger and hammer.
Had the over travel adjustment screw added
by the gun smith when he did the trigger job on it.
