Two I have had great success with using. 124 gr plated RN and FMJ
4.0 Bullseye
5.0 gr Unique
Both have given me good accuracy and mild recoil
These are MY loads and always use caution and manuals for data. (cya)
YMMV

I use the 4.0 grains of Bullseye in my CW9 (125 gr LRN at 1.115"), 1911 (200 gr LSW and 230 LRN at 1.245") and 38/357 (158 gr LSWC sorta mostly but not all the time or 148 gr LDEWC with 2.8 gr BE).
So far in 9mm it’s been Green Dot that’s given me the best results with FMJ’s and Red Dot with plated….weird.
I’m going to work up some 9mm’s with Titegroup next because it’s my favorite in .45.....

I use 5gr of Power Pistol with 115 gr Berry's plated for 9mm and 3.4 gr for 380.
I am going to try Bullseye next.

Anyone have a good cast load they've been using?
I usually shoot 115g LRN (Missouri Bullet Co) with 4.5g W231 @ OAL 1.11 in my XD.
I just bought my CM9 and shot about 100 of these reloads though it with no issues, but I'm going to have to keep practicing to get real accurate with this little pistol.

This has been pretty useful for general ideas for me.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I usually use Hodgdon's website and my Lyman manual for load data.
This is my first sub-compact. Do you guys generally use the same load as in your full size pistols or do these short barrels like different loads?
In my experience loads that have been good in M&Pc, XD3”-4” have been good in my PM9.

That's what I wanted to hear, it'd make life a lot easier to just have one 9mm load to crank out instead of messing around with powder and die settings.
I'm sure I'll get used to this pistol after a few more outings.

I use the same load (125 gr LRN or LCN 4 gr BE) and OAL in my CW9 and CZ Phantom. Both seem to like the load and are accurate. OK more accurate with the Phantom but to be expected with the longer barrel and sight radius and being SA with the Phantom.
Just do a plonk test in both barrels when setting the OAL.

I am surprised those cycled the slide without any failures to eject from a CM9. I used a starting load of longshot and the gun wouldn't cycle. I had to go to near max to insure correct function of the gun, which has just 200 rounds through it. It had 150 fired at the time.
I suspect that one of my favorite reloads in my PM9 is going to differ greatly from most here.
Rem. 147 gr. FMJ match bullet #23536
FC case
Fed. #100 primer
5.0 gr. AA #5
COL 1.095"
This is a load that I used for competition in my Glock 17L pistol a long time ago. I still have a couple thousand rounds left over as well as thousands of bullets to be loaded yet. ;)
I have found that my PM9 loves this load. 15 yd. head shots on a "Q" type target are the norm.

Ikeo: Yeah I was a little leery of using a light load on such a stiff spring but they functioned just fine. As a matter of fact I just shot another 100 of them tonight along with some 147g gold dots.
My 4" XD9 is really accurate with that load at 30' so I'm glad I can use it in both guns.
