I have three mags. The problem mag is the one that came with the gun. I added mag extensions to the other two from Pierce. Mag springs are in correctly and I have cleaned them all. The problems started with WWB 115 gr fmj ammo but has also happened with Speer GD 124 gr +P. I have paid particular attention and I am not hitting the slide stop. The one mag is the only one I am having a problem with.

I know that there was a thread somewhere and even searched for it to no avail. Kahr has already said that they will replace the defective mag if I return it. I just wanted to check in here and see if there might be a simple solution.

525 rounds down the pipe now with only one failure to completely chamber that was corrected by a bump. I love this thing. It has taken it rightful place as carry gun supreme with the LCP serving as small pant pocket gun when necessary. LC9 is probably going on the block now as well. Need to finance the new Gen4 Glock 21, 45 acp. :D

Great forum here. Good helpful folks.

Chuck

Are you sure its not you hitting the slide stop by mistake. Since the other 2 mags have the grip extension and the problem one doesn't, maybe you are just holding the gun differently without realizing it? You could swap the extensions from one to the other for a real test.

If that doesn't fix it, I'd just send it back to Kahr for a replacement, since you have 2 others to hold you over while the mailman has your stuff.

Thanks for the reply, ToneSurfer. I really do not think that I have been hitting the slide stop. After it happened the first time, I really began to pay attention. I have already put the flat base on one of the other mags. I will test it next time at the range. In the mean time, nothing to lose by sending the problem one in for an exchange.

shoot the mag that is giving issues with the other hand to see if u can duplicate the same thing, Let anothert shooter shoot the gun with that prbolem mag, to see if he can duplicate the issue. cold be a bad mag, this way will prove it out to.
