As I contemplate the meaning of life,
and the significance of a full ammo can.

I’m reminded that we, in life, have many ammo cans.
Ones we can easily see.
And other hidden deep from sight and thought.

These repressed vessels hold a different cargo.
Things deemed important at one time, but now forgotten.
Introspection questions this ammo’s real meaning.
Is it for some reason out of my comfort zone to deal with?
Banished from my consciousness?

As I travel through the Black Tower of life I must face three challenges.
Face my enemy, face myself and face my worst fear.

I’ve faced my Ex’s and faced myself.
But my worst fear is my own limitations.

My chosen weapon, part of me now, was born with limitations too.
We are taught to recognize and accept them.

Maybe not…

And suddenly, as the sun rises in the morning, I get it!
The Lone Wolf cries for freedom from limitations.
He owns the night.
But wants to rule the day.

My EXO G27 cries for freedom too.
She rules the day.
But wishes to own the night.

My Factory Glock G33 barrel will arrive soon.
Here comes the night…

Deep, very deep. Barrels are life's mystery.

I'm still on the surface looking down into a deep dark cavernous hole but I think I might get it. We should put a barrier around this hole though, someone unknowing could fall in and fracture their cocyx.

Deep, deep is good.

Barth, something tells me you have way too much time on your hands! Either that or you need to get back on your meds.

I stopped drinking end of march.
Maybe that's the problem - LOL!

Yeah, I tried that once...or twice, or maybe three times. Didn't work out so well for me, either.

So, Barth.... has the barrel returned to you yet?

Dark nights and howling wolves would be a most opportune time to have a barrel on yer roscoe.;)

Every time I look at this thread, I find myself humming He ain't heavy, he's my brother. Why do you suppose that might be.

Reminds me I need to build a black tower, (with an elevator of course). Maintain the high ground in the dark while I contemplate my purpose in life or lack there of.

He ain't a heavyyyyyyyyyyyy, he's my .....................

OK,
An explanation of my rant is in order.
I had read about the Talo Special Edition EXO Glock.
And became enamored with the thought of a self-lubricating finish good for 15K rounds dry.
Then when I saw a video of the gun sporting Ameriglo I-Dot Pro sights, lost it, and had to have one LOL!

Really wanted a Gen 3 G33/357 for concealed carry.
But it looks like Talo only produces 40 and 9 versions.
Now I could build one myself.
G33 $499 + Fail Zero finish $200 + Ameriglo sights $90 + shipping and installation $800+ bucks.
Then I came across an EXO G27 NS on the net for $649 and the rest is history.

I love the price and availability of 40 ammo.
But still longed for the virtual Magnum Force of the 357 Sig.
In the middle of the night I had the obvious epiphany to just get a G33/357 barrel ($150) for my G27
and have the best of both worlds.
That was the inspiration for the rant.

Epilog:
Fail zero will coat the barrel for $125 and 40 mags are supposed to work with 357 ammo.
But I decided that one nickel plated and one black barrel would make telling them apart easy.
Also the followers in 40/357 mags are different possibly causing FTF.
I can get followers and convert the 40 mags.
But wanted to switch back and forth easily.

Final Solution:
Ordered factory Glock parts from Lone Wolf:
1 G33/357 barrel
1 G33 9 round mag
2 G31 15 round mags
Ordered from SGAmmo:
5 X 50 Winchester Ranger T-Series 125 gr 357
(200 check out, 50 SD loading)

Happy Ending:
Have 1000 rounds Winchester Ranger Bonded 180 gr 40 HPs
(recently purchased)
and 800 Federal Tactical Bonded 125 gr 357 HPs
(in storage for some time and nearly forgotten).
It’s time to find out which caliber I shoot the little G27 better for SD.
Should have all the pieces to this puzzle by the weekend.

This is going to be fun!
