Other than the grip texture, did they do any other work to the pistol? There seems to be different writing on the slide. Is it anything special?

Accurate-Iron can do the same thing, he did my PM9 picutred in this forum, with the grip stipplying and slide melting and refinsih. Robar does good work, can't knock that..

That Kahr photo shows Robar custom package at $850, which is alot lower in price than cylinder and slides work--ALOT.

Robar's NP3 is a sweet finish , there grip stippling is offered in 3 textures. I stopped by there facility this week to feel test the samples, medium feels just right. I love the feel of the rubber Decal Grip tape but they won't stay on here in the AZ desert. Robar being local for me already has 1 of my nuggs in for work.:D SSSSHHHHHHHH don't tell my wife !!!!

I saw that article and most of it was pretty neat. The part I did not like was the extension of the frame in the back under the slide.

Is slide bite a problem? Never has been for me on these guns so the bulbous addition is a bit much.

Not really a problem, but it does aide in getting a quick consistent high grip without putting part of your hand over the rear of your slide.

I didn't like that extension either. I would eliminate that service for sure. never ever heard of a kahr shooter getting the 1911 slide cuts. Still nice work on robar's part though./
