Just picked up my new in the box CM9, took it apart to clean it up. Is it just me or is the recoil spring a bi*ch to get back in. Are all the recoil springs just open at the one end? Mine bends and makes it very difficult to compress when trying to seat in the barrel. I remember having the same problem with a Walther P22 but that came with a guide rod you could insert so the spring didn't bend when put under presure.

yuup just open on one end, after a few hundred rounds the spring will take its designedset and be alot easier. Make sure that ipen end of the spring runs up and downon that recoil tube with no hindrance. If u feel it kinda grabbing when hand racking, just open up that open end a tad more. Nice gun, it will serve u well..
Check out the takedown and reassembly video on the Kahr website. I tried holding the slide and recoil assembly the way he does on the video and it made it a lot easier than the way I was doing it before.;)
