I traded in my faulty Ruger LC9 for a new CW9. I have only put 200 rounds through it, but so far I love it. It ate the Federal and the Winchester white box with no failures. I was also impressed with the accuracy at 7 yards. Can't wait to get back to the range this weekend to put another 200 through it. If there was one thing to complain about it would be the stippling on the back of the grip. It made my hand a little sore. This is my carry piece so the grip is really no problem. I'll probably just get a glove for range shooting.

welcome aboard, actually we don'thear alot pro or con on the lc9. what was ur issues with it?? No doubt u certainly stepped up to a better gun...

Have u visited our kahr tech section and hit on two good sticklys?

kahr lube chart

Propper prepping of ur new kahr,

both can help u maintain a flawless gun. Walmart WWB has been my range ammo since the git go price is the best around and plentyful and in m PMK9 and K9 it goes bang every time. I am not sure of the accuracy of therounds though, as they never go where I aim, and it cannot be me..!!!!!

Congradtulations on the new CW9. I love mine and it is my carry pistol. I also bought a CM9 and carry it when weather makes it harder to hide the CW9 longer grip. Both wonderful pistols.

Use either a Hogue or cut up bike tire on the grip. Sure tames it down.

Welcome to the forum!

Glad you like your new Kahr. Aside from the issues you had with your LC9 how would you say it compares to the CW9?

I was on the fence between the CW9 and LC9. I found a great deal on CW9 and never looked back.

Lc9 had FTE failures right out of the box. Approx. 2 out of every 50 rounds would not eject properly and it would jam. Sent it back to Ruger, and they said they replaced the extractor. Took it back to the range and it did the same thing on every mag I shot. Very disapointing because I really liked the gun, but were talking about my EDC gun so I traded it in for the CW9.

Welcome to the forum, I just put the hogue jr. slip on grip on my CW9 and it makes a world of difference. So much so my wife just made the pistol her own..

+1 on the Hogue grip! Before I bought the Hogue I used IDPA target tape. It worked okay for a temporary fix. It is a stouter version of masking tape.

I put another 100 flawless rounds through it at the range yesterday. Very accurate at 7 and 12 yards. I also put the bike inner tube on the grip, works like a champ, but I think I'll only use the tube at the range.

Hey!

I did the inner tube thing too on my CW9, and I really like it. I was only going to use it during the initial 250 rounds, and during the qualifying shoot to add it to my CCW, but I found I liked the bit of "stickiness" the inner tube adds to the grip, so I'm going to leave it on for now. It doesn't look too bad either:

I want to add that I've had no problems at all with "USA Ammo" (http://www.usaammo.com/-9mm-Luger-115-gr-FMJ-P58.aspx), and the price is right: $96.40 delivered for 500 rounds made with used brass ($1 a box of 50 more for new brass.) The cheapest in-store price for practice ammo that I can find is nearly twice that (including tax.) I use Hornady Critical Defense for my carry ammo.

Also, by the way, I intended to buy the LC9, but when I handled both it and the CW9, the CW9 was clearly it for me!

Sounds like you're enjoying the CW9 as much as I am,

Sweaty
