Hi, all. I am new here, and just waiting to pick up my p380 (RC3xxx, hoping for the best!) I'm in CA, so we have the model with the LCI, and cannot get the diamond black slide.
Question: if I order the replacement slide in black, (without LCI), would it work with my gun? (it appears the LCI is just a tab of plastic that moves when there's a round in the chamber, so I'm thinking a regular solid slide might work...)
Thanks for all the info here, and any thoughts you might have on this!

The first thought that occurred to me was "would Kahr ship a non-California slide to California?" I'd guess not.

probably would work, but IMO I would not do it, u might just be pissing away some good bucks. Proof shoot the gun you got, if it is dependable, then send it off and get it refinished. It would be cheaper in price to do it that way aND FOR SURE, U KNOW THAT SLIDE IS ok. u BUY A NEW SLIDE THERE IS NO GUARANTEE IT WILL BE RIGHT EITHER, LET ALONE work OK. not worth the added expesne to get away from the lci, as I don't see the way it is made it ever causing ay issues. These little P380 have been a problemn child. please don't put the cart berfore the horse with this gun. Just my two cents. al call to kahr would also verify if they would indeed send a\ slide like that to california people, but for me I would not spend that extrra money to get that dlc finish. It can done with custom finishers cheaper in price.

Excellent advice, gentlemen, thank you for that. Makes much more sense to see how well this this works (or doesn't), and refinish it if it proves to be reliable.
Thanks!

I like my LCI's They are not in the way and are helpful to see if a rouns has actually chambered of if the slide stop didn't work.
