I just got back from my home range (a pond dam) where I introduced my son (age 50) to my new CM9 to shoot. This was his first time shooting a Kahr. We sat up at 7 yards with a target that has a 2" red bull. He shot a total of 25 rounds. Started with 5 low and left. I told him it was trigger control. Next 5 were 2" high and more centered. I told him how to aim the 2 sot sights. The next 10 he was getting good hits with a couple in the red. I told him to slow down and try to be accurate. The last five had 4 bulls all in the center with a 1/2 " spread http://www.***********/forums/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif and 1 flyer. I blamed the flyer on the 4 previous bulls and excitement. We were shooting standing up with a 2 hand hold. It doesn't get any better than that. I think a CM9 will be his next purchase.http://www.***********/forums/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://www.***********/forums/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

The one flyer had to be bad ammo. I get a bad round every once in a while that decides to take leave from the x ring.

I wish I could shoot it that well. ;) Maybe I need to send a few hundred more downrange.

That's great that you got to shoot with your son and with those results itis just icing on the cake.

I've a back yard range and my 26 year old son will often join me in a shooting/practice session. Once he gets into it he'll generally best me in sights shooting. I generally best him in point shooting.

It's an age thing Ike. We get a handicap like us sitting down and them standing on one foot. The young whippersnappers anyway!

Must be an epidemic! I've noticed since my shoulder has been bothering me, I'm getting a lot of bad ammo too.

It is funny you mentioned your shoulder. I had one rotator cuff fixed in May and the other one is being done Tues. Once that is done the Doc said I will be good for another 30 years. Now, if I could get rid of these damn Depends....
