Oh crap, a democrat!

Based on my experience as a long-time former resident of Minnesota, I have to say that the event depicted in that cartoon must be pretty common.

That is way too funny! So very sad too... I bet if you put that in front of many liberals they would laugh because it was a "cute idea".. :(

Well, we had our usual one really cute kid with his dad close by last night. We live in a country subdivision with large lots and it's a long walk for the little ones. Of course we don't have street lights and it's dark as sin out here.

Anyway, to put a little excitement in things I took our candy bowl and trick or treated my culdesac neighbors. We laughed and exchanged hand fulls of candy with a short visit. Made an otherwise dull evening a little fun.

Now that I've changed my eating habits candy is not a regular option. I only had 2 mini-candy bars last night compared to my usual 20+. All the candy is gone now as far as I'm concerned. I asked my wife to hide it away where I can't find it. So, next year we're going to buy just a few candy bars and hope the hordes don't show up.

We're in a similar situation. We had 3. When our kids were little we used to have hoards but the neighborhood has grown up.

Alot of the older kids still go out and trick or treat but they don't come to my house. My youngest went with friends but even they didn't come to my house.

Maybe they are skeered?

Of what, the grouchy old man sitting on the porch with a side by side in his lap? Not much of a costume if you ask me. ;)

Ok, who ratted me out and told you about the side by side? You monitoring the picture taking machines from the space ships. Aliens they are everywhere.

Umm, you posted pictures of the side by side. I recall a penguin suit and a couple of scatter guns. Besides, you kind of remind me of that character in Legends of the Fall, the Col. after his stroke. Look it up you'll see what I mean.

I must have missed that one. I'll have to try and find it, looks good.

That Anthony Hopkins is one handsome fella. I bet Brad Pitt gets more chicks but Anthony has got style.

That was the wedding picture and Bawanna has blanked out that whole episode. He's still pining over his daughter getting married. Don't worry, Bawanna, you'll get over it in a few years.
