New forum member here thats been lurking doing a lot of reading. I ordered a new PM9 this morning and I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival in a couple of days. Great forum here with a ton of good info. I'll post up with a range report and first impressions of my new Kahr later in the week after I've had time to do a lil fluff and buff/prep. This is my first Kahr so I'm super excited to take her on a test drive.

Welcome to the forum! You sound like a not first time gun owner. What other guns do you have? (pics, please)

P.S. You can get a 5 lb striker spring from Wolffs and look at the slide disassembly sticky to see how to change it, and make sure your striker channel is clean while you're at it. Makes that Kahr trigger that much smoother!

Welcome !
I hope your PM9 runs as good as mine ....... never a problem from day one.
Several thousand assorted rounds through it and it liked them all.

It is a cool looking finish!
Do fingerprints on it drive you nuts? I think they would me.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Avenger good luck with your new CM9 I initially went looking for a CM9 but a couple of local spots were trying to give me a poking on the price so I passed. On a whim I went to another place whom in the past haven't really gotten me too excited in the customer service area but gave me what I felt was on awesome price on a new PM9 so they redeemed themselves today. $638 out the door and I couldn't be more pleased

Sounds like you did good.
We'll have to meet up and compare models at some point as I just noticed you are just down the road from me a bit. I am in Midland.

Yeah. I wipe it a lot. But just putting it in my holster and wearing it, I only touch the grip, on which I put a Qwik-Grip rubber sleeve, which greatly improves the gripping and handling of the gun and doesn't have the added bulk and finger grooves of the Hogue Jr.

Fingerprints and smudges are one of the good things about the DLC finish on my black PM9. It doesn't show a thing, well... haven't tried BBQ sauce.

Welcome to the asylum. I hope you are in Abilene just because of the base. Me I left as soon as my folks could get me out, and really don't stop there much anymore. World seems to be getting smaller, first an officer I work with started his LE career there, and then I ran into some one from Baird, and now this. I think I need a beer and my blankie. ;)

I've lived in the area off and on all my life and lived in many places around the country but seem to hang around out here more and more. My folks live here and I stay close due to my dad getting a little long in the tooth and not having the best health. As I get older I have much less desire to live in metropolitan areas and I've grown quite fond of living in the sticks.:D
