let me start off by saying my cw9 is one of the best pistols i have ever owned. for the money i spent it performs awsome... now i am looging for a shoulder rig and really like the galco classic lite cl290 system but it says it fits the k40.. isnt the k40 the same size as my cw9 but with some different parts? reason i ask is galco only offers it for the k40.... i like the miami classic but dont want to spend 150 for it.. the lite is around 60 or so and reasonable to me. and i have seen really good reviews.. thanks

Galco does that with many of their holsters. The Stinger holster for my CM9 says it fits MK9/40, PM9/40 and they still don't know about the CM9. Trouble with that is the 40 slides are 3/100 wider than the 9s. Not a lot, but you want the holster to fit your gun, right? Also, there is a flare in the mouth to clear the grip panels on the MKs, but it is not necessary for the MPs and CM9. Galco is too big, making corporate decisions that compromise the product. There are lots and lots of smaller and one-man shops where you can get your holster the way you want it for the exact gun that you have. Take your time looking for holsters. I have been looking and searching for over six months to equip my CM9, and I am still discovering holster makers. If you get in too much of a hurry, you will inevitably develop a pile of holster mistakes collecting in a box, then expanding to a second box, and on and on.

I have two drawers full of holsters that I never use because they don't work, are uncomfortable, or I just don't like them. There are 45 or 50 holsters in those drawers, and a large number are Galco or Fobus. I've never tried a shoulder holster, though.

I was thinking about you, O'Dell, as I wrote that. :)
