OK, I just got back from my first "range date" with my new CW45.
After reading many posts on this forum I wasn't sure what to expect.
I shot 100 rounds with only 3 "slide lock-backs" mid mag. and NO other issues.

The only down side was that the trigger is so smooth and precise that I wasn't use to it and my accuracy was not what I would be proud of, each 6 round mag. grouped around 6-8 inches. However, towards the last 10-20 rounds, I took a little more time and concentrated on the trigger and the accuracy came around to consistently in the 9-10 ring at 12 yards.

I love this gun!!!!

Thanks for letting me "spread the joy".

We love letting you spread the joy. We live for it matter of fact. Glad your a happy shooter. You'll just get better and better, both you and the gun with range time.

Watch your thumb close, those slide locks just might be you hitting it. I've done it myself. You don't even know it. Try left handed or another shooter. Easy to do.

I find I have better accuracy when I give the trigger one firm squeeze instead of trying to anticipate when it's going to break.

Great to hear about the good experience. I am thinking 45 myself the trigger system is really starting to grow on me.

I just got one of those Laserlyte bore site thingies and the first thing I noticed was how a slow trigger pull makes the "shot" a blur. A quick, firm pull results in a nice little red dot, usually right where I intended it to be.

yes, once I get another 100 or so rounds through it, get comfortable with it, and am confident there are no "bugs", it will be my primary carry piece.

Nice... After I had mine a few months, I liked it so much I had to get a CW9 too. The 9's my most frequent carry now... .45 (w/CrimsonTrace) mostly has bedstand duty.
