I don't post much ;) but I do browse this forum often...

That's because I have a neat l'il -- and 100% totally reliable -- P380 and my "new" P40 Covert is proving to be awesome too! I also had a neat PM9 once too, but I mistakenly sold that off to my daughter's boyfriend... Oh well, at least she is well protected now!

Back to the reason for this post...

My P40 Covert (bought used) had a damaged front Night Sight that I suspected could be a problem when I bought it, but the price was right and I figured I'd replace the older sights with new ones next year anyhow, since the frame was shipped back in 2002.

Well, the front blade finally broke off the other day at the range, and the Super Glue only held it on for another 7 shots... ("Nice try" I guess... But it sure made shots # 8, 9 and 10 rather difficult.)

So I shipped my slide off to Kahr at Monday noon of this week. Then Kahr called me yesterday morning to confirm payment and said they would get to it "as soon as they could". So when I got home from work today -- surprise, surprise -- there she was, waiting for me!

Just 4.5 days to complete the repair, with shipping both ways.

Wow, I couldn't be happier! I didn't even miss 1 weekend with my Covert in action.

Now THAT my friends -- is GREAT service!!!

Tight groups.

I have my own thread started on my CW9, but the main point of my thread was also how well Kahr treated me. I also got my weapon back in 4 days, including shipping! I can not say enough about how impressed I was with Kahr's customer service. I know some on this forum are not as impressed with them, but I wanted others to know that Old 7's experience is not uncommon!

Does everyone notice when we get a stellar pat on the back good job for Kahr, there is hardly any comments, a few responses, a few happy for you's and then the thread sort of dies on the vine.

Let some one complain or report poor work and there'll be 36 pages and 700 visits to the thread. Kind of reinforces that bad things get turned into mountains and good things stay mole hill size.

Just the way I see it.

That being said I'm glad both of you fellas had a good experience. It' kind of refreshing for a change.

Bawanna: I agree. I think it's important to acknowledge good experiences to give a more balanced picture.

I ditto that, Bawanna! I was relieved to see this post of "good news" regarding Kahr's service. That simply confirms the good feelings that led me trust Kahr's service recently with my own PM9. Come on, Kahr...show everyone that quality really IS what you're after. Thanks for the post, Old No7

Bawanna, I also agree with your words of wisdom. It does seem that the bad stuff or, "perveived" bad stuff is given way too much visibility and overshadows the many good things that happen. Just like watching a news broadcast, you never hear anything good! :D THanks for posting some good news Old no 7!

As an aside, I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot a brand new P380 earlier this week. I know there have been some issues lately. This little gun was remarkable! There were no functional issues, the gun is really really small and easily concealable, looked great (just like my PM9), and I could not believe I was hitting a 2 inch black bull at 20 to 25 yards with my old blurry eyes. What a great little gun! I hated to give it back! It was quite impressive! This gun worked perfectly with out any of the issues reported by some on this forum. I am guessing, if there was a problem with the P380, Kahr has it now sorted out. This gun I shot was fantastic!

Sorry if I seem to be hijacking the thread but it seemd appropriate to report on another "good thing" from Kahr! ;)

I wish we knew what the actual numbers are: flawless guns and (non owner caused) problem guns. I'll bet the problems are a very small percentage, even with the P380s, and we see a lot of them in posts here.

That's great news!

My experiences have been positive and accommodating as well - nice to hear of the quick turn-around!

I've had a bunch of problems with my new PM45 and I'm hoping that Kahr C.S. will be able to impress me with outstanding service the way they have you.

The jury's still out at this point...

Dean...it's been a while since you've post. Is the jury still out? Has Kahr come through for you, yet? If not, they will....just be patient.

If I was negligent, I'll correct that right now. Almost two years ago, I sent my PM45 back to correct a scratch on the slide. I was having NO function problems. Kahr replaced the slide, polished the feed ramp, tested the pistol, and returned it for no charge, even though they knew it was purchased used.
