I have 200 flawless rounds fired thru the PM 45 not one failure of any kind. Love the gun. The problem occurs when unloading it. With a round in the chamber, after dropping the loaded magazine racking the slide to clear the chambered round it hangs up in the ejection port. The bullet is stuck length wise. It is very difficult to get the live round to come out. When it does finally free itself the tip of said bullet is usually deformed from being stuck. Any ideas how to cure this. Thanks, ShooterJD

Thats the same problem Husky44 is having with his 40 cal, posted below. He is still working an a solution for his. It seems the tollerance of the gun's construction is too tight for some shapes of bullets to eject properly. I suggest you try some shorter OAL length bullets or bullets with more rounded or pointed shapes. The skinnier the better. Let us know when you find a solution.

Mine does not like to eject a live round slowly but ejects fine if I work the slide with gusto. Angle the ejection port to the side so it can fall out and clear.
Make sure your pulling far enough back to hit the ejector.

Or rack the slide back and lock it with the mag in, then drop the mag. It really should not make a difference and since the it ejects and feeds okay when shooting you know it's working right. The trick is in overcoming the stiff recoil spring as Bawanna said.

Having same problem, pm45....230 hollow points..seems that if I hold my right foot JUST right, and pull the slide back slowly, while holding it with the top of slide facing down, it works some times....yep the stiff spring and that little piece of slide hood sticking out makes for an exciting time ....the hollow point ends up eating that nasty little projection and..$$$!!!zzz$$$&&&&

Been thinking how to help and it occurred to me you may be racking by pinching the back of the slide between the thumb and forefinger pulling back. You pull back until the slide won't continue back without slipping from your fingers. If so, I can tell you that doesn't work with most Kahrs and new recoil springs.
What does work is the "overhand method" where you place your hand over the slide with thumb pointing at your armpit. Grasp the slide in you hand between the meat of the thumb and fingers, squeeze and push the slide toward the armpit. Lock the slide with your strong thumb.
If you are already doing this and the slide isn't slipping out of the hand but simply stops against something hard, this isn't the fix.
