Recently bought my first Kahr. I went with the CW9, still not sure if there is not a 45 in my future, but back to my post! Never even got to shoot IT! I noticed that out of the box you could see daylight under to front sight, thought no big deal, however when stripping and cleaning I noticed the sight was flush. I inserted the barrel and the sight was up...bottom line it was loose and bottom of the sight pins would ride on the barrel lifting the sight. Kahr said they had never heard of this and my dealer has another one on the way:mad:

Welcome to the forums. The factory front sight on "C" and "E" series pistols is made of polymer. The pins that hold it on the slide have their ends melted to form "rivets". My guess is the pins were melted without the sight sitting flush on top of the slide. If you don't want to send it back, push and hold the sight flush then melt the posts until they form rivets that are flush with/slightly below the slide surface. Optionally (and IMO a better solution), replace the factory sight with a metal front sight such as the Trijicon that Kahr offers or with one from Dawson Precision.

I just removed the sight, chamfered/beveled the holes, and replaced the sight.
Fixed.
Edit: OOPS! different gun (glock) with plastic frt sight fixed that way...has a pin/rivit for frt sight removal.
