Hi.. just bought a new CM9 yesterday, really nice gun. Looking forward to learning about this little gem, Wow talk about tight i can hardly rack the slide.
But a understand there's a break in period with these buggers. The only think i don't like is how hard it is to get the mag to come out, hard to push the button plus you have pull the mag out it will not drop out on it's own. Will that get better in time? Or is there something i can do to help this?
Thanks Sup..

Sup Sup??? Sorry, I couldn't resist the opportunity to be the first at something. Welcome to the forum and glad to have you. Also, congrats on your new Kahr pistol. Help with your Kahr concerns is sure to follow....quickly. BTW, gotta love the simplicity of your name.

Welcome to KahrTalk!

You could have written my first post concerning my then new PM9. Yes, it has loosened some over time but I don't believe it'll ever be as loose as my Glock or Kel-Tec.

sup,
Welcome, check the tech section for initial cleaning and lube big plus there
These pistols will free up a little and smooth out, I have the same issue with the mag and it has gotten better during the break in. There is some info also
in the tech section on the mags and a tweak or two that might be needed I am sure others will chime in with some info

Welcome to KT, Sup! Its a great place to learn about your firearms and to engage in discussions with others. Lots of helpful folks and good information available here. Im a fellow CM9'er myself. Have had it about 6 months, probably put 500 rounds thru it to date, and no problems. Good luck with yours.

I can second that. I was cleaning my Glock last Sunday and forgot how smoothly it racked. It seemed like the slide was riding on air. It has over 4000 rounds through it. I don't think the CM9 will ever be like that... nor do I think it needs to be. As long as it fires and loads another round I am good with it!

Thanks for the help i just got around to cleaning it. I lubed it with the tw25 i really like this stuff. Racked it 300 times WOW! Finish it later on. Can't wait to get it out and shoot it. After it's all broke in i will probably coat it with Frog Lube, I use it on my Glocks and it sure makes clean up a snap. Also like the way the finish looks.

Welcome Sup! I like to point out 3 spots to hit well in prep. The first is rub TW25 into Lube Point 6 on the upper side of the slide. The barrel hood rides that in recoil in the PM9, not positive if they increased clearance in the CM. Also the feed ramp and chamber mouth need good ploish and TW25 rubbed into them also. Shoot factory FMJ rounds for break-in and you are good to go.

That is so good to hear! :) Welcome to the forum!

My older brother and I went yesterday to do some shooting at "Paradise (http://www.nuwrayinn.com/farmhouse.html)" - my niece and her husband's restored farmhouse on several acres of land along the Cane River in the mountains of Western North Carolina (available for vacation rental for anyone wanting a comfortable getaway). My CM9 performed perfectly using WWB - much better than either of us with our bad eyes. We were shooting at about 30 feet, 66 rounds. Like Jocko, I had several real good one shot groups! :p About 2/3 of my shots hit within the black, with all but a couple of the fliers on the paper. The bullseye acted like it had a Star Wars defense shield, but I finally got 2 in the red. I am going to sit closer to the target next time out. :o

Aren't these CM9s a pleasure to shoot? :) Mine is ultra comfortable with the Qwik-Grip rubber grip sleeve on it. I have 2 extra mags and a Universal UpLULA mag loader to make things easier. I am going to have to do the mag squeezing trick to get my mags to drop free or easier, though. All 3 drop less than .25" and have to be pulled the rest of the way out.

Welcome Sup, glad to hear the CM9 is behaving nicely. I think I'd feel much better armed with the CM9 than the LCP.

i have a cm9 and a lcp also
cm9 is heavier and harder to pocket carry if pants have smaller pocket.
this is why I still keep my LCP. I suggest you do the same till your sure you wont need the LCP anymore.
