I HAVE AN OLD STYLE P9 & WHEN I GOT IT IT DIDNT EVEN HAVE WEAR MARKS ON THE BARREL. I DID THE BREAK IN ROUTINE TALKED ABOUT HERE. DURING THE NEXT FEW HUNDRED RNDS I HAD SEVERAL FTE, NOW I HAVE 7-8 HUNDRED RNDS & STILL GET A FEW FTE? I HAVE YET TO REPLACE ANYTHING & THOUGHT I WOULD RUN IT BY SOME PEOPLE WHO KNOW MORE ON THE SUB. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. ALSO WHAT IS THE DIFF BETWEEN OLD STYLE & NEW, SOMEWHERE I SAW KAHR WOULD UPGRADE YOUR GUN TO NEW, IS THIS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE DONE?

Welcome to the forum, but really, there's no need to shout.:D
I suggest a simple recoil spring change first to rid yourself of ejection problems. You may want to replace the extractor as well. These are inexpensive parts. The P9 is known to be a reliable design. Are you using factory ammo or reloads?
The new/old style refers to the dovetail cuts for sights and a change in the slide stop spring. Neither of these has an effect on ejection.

SORRY, I'm using factory 115 ammo, very cool gun like I said it's old YA6XXX but when I got it it didn't even have marks on the barrel from cycling! I'm sold, great trigger nice & slim & accurate! It does have Trijicon sights that are dim but I'm thinking of sending the slide to them to get reviled. Do I need to order a certain spring for the older P9 ? Also Kahrs web site says something about update service for older P & PMs includes modifying your frame to accept the new revision barrel & recoil assy & can use the ported barrels? So that means the ported barrels wont work on the older P9? Thanks

Here's the spring from Kahr.

You can also order springs from Wolff Springs.
It's a good idea to replace the recoil spring around 1500 rounds or so. Because you've put that many rounds on a used gun of unknown round count, the spring replacement makes sense.

Can you post a link to this please.
