I recently put up a blog "story" about my experiences with a CW45 and a customized P45. This one has more story telling and less facts and figures than my usual, but it was still fun to take a day off from work and get out to the range on my birthday and give them both a work out. Trigger time is happy time. :)

Man, that is so cool! I wonder why 45s seem to shoot straighter than 9mm? I have liked that Robar custom ever since I first saw it! That stippled grip looks so comfortable! Maybe when I win the lottery or P.C.H. shows up at my door with a giant check.....

Very nicely done, I'm truly impressed. I can tell you're a good shot and would like to have seen you do some rapid fire from a holster draw. My guess is you can't do that sort of stuff at the range where you did the filming.

Thanks for the comments. In reality, my draw and rapid fire practice is done during IDPA matches using full size 1911s in 9mm and 45ACP. I've come to the conclusion that I'll never be a competitive IDPA shooter locally as we have some exceptionally good shooters here that are sponsored by Nighthawk and Wilson since they are also local firms. One local range hosts IDPA club matches most weeks and I will be able to use my P45 for those matches and start to really learn to shoot the gun effectively for defensive purposes. I'm looking forward to starting on that this winter.
Depending on the number of shooters, the outdoor range I used for this outing has no rules against draw and fire, rapid fire, or move and fire drills. It's just hard to time things right so you are the only one on the range.
