Today I spent a little time just looking at my CM9 and comparing it to a few of my other toys. I examined the fit & finish, function, and overall craftsmanship. I must say I found myself really impressed with the work Kahr does on this pistol. So I wandered into a LGS I had not been to in a very long time and I saw something I've never seen before, non-polymer Kahrs. I am embarassed to admit that I had never seen a non-polymer Kahr before in real life. I thought that the world was flat and ended with polymer P380s, PM9, and CM9. You want to talk about gorgeous pistols- WOW. Those K and MK series really jump out at you (I'd love to see a T series). Now I find myself consumed on learning more about these steel framed pistols. I have never clicked any other Series forum link before but now I will. The nosedive issues with my CM9 almost scared me off of the Kahr bandwagon but I'd love to know if any of you have experience with either pistol. I will stay 9mm because I have a sh*tload of ammo. What is the story with the Elite 2003 models?

The short story is the Elite 2003 Series will make your britches stick out in front. NICE.

Another Dietrich analogy. I love that guy.

Love my MK9 Elite 03! Softest, easiest shooting pistol I have held. Acurate as he77!

I took the polish up just a notch on the side of the slide, on mine .... .but I MUST get some of those wood grips NOW!

They are sprung tighter than the PM9 (at least mine was/is) and it took more rounds to fully break in .... about 500. But I shoot that gun at the range more than anything. Totally SWEEEET!

JF,
Man that is pretty. I know I can look up the specs but how much difference is there on this size wise than the CM9. It's heavier for sure, but curious on side by side comparison. Is that the Elite version? My rule has always been that I don't buy a new gun until I sell a gun (I am not a collector, just a user). One of these may cause me to let loose of that CM9 I worked so hard to get flawless.
PS- Those K9s look sweet too!

The MK, PM, and CM 9 are all identical in size.

I currently have both PM9 and MK9.
I have to admit that MK9 feels better in hand and shoots better but this one is way too heavy to carry compared to the PM9 :D

That's funny, mine makes my britches stick out at about the 4 o'clock position. It's kinda big and heavy and has prematurely discharged...so I've been told but that doesn't bother me too much.

While it's not as snazzy as JFootin's lovely MK9, I have an early, carbon steel K9 that I've grown quite fond of (feeds and shoots everything I put in it :)):
