I have seen the XS big dots sights and I see many of you have them installed on your nuggs.

I do agree on the closer range our little babys are intended for. Up close and personel the big dot front sight looks great for my tired eyes.

Buttttttttt I'm not sold on the rear no notch yet. Any input for some one that can't leave well enough alone.:o

2 of my Kahrs have a doctors appointment at Robar soon so night sites are on the list + ? Thanks AZ T

I have big-dot tritiums on my mk40. I actually find it shoots even better than with the origionals. I can probably put most rounds in paper plate at 20 yards offhand, I figure not bad for 3" barrel and 56 yo eyes. Hope I never have to use them at night but would be very effective and fast.
Didn't realize the old eyes effect was hitting me so heavy till I went out and played with a ruger mini 30 today-(hadn't shot rifle much last few years) WOW!! Not sure if it was old eyes or notoriously inaccurate rifle with a not great peep set-up or a combo of both.
Here I go again, making a short story long LOL.
Rear notch is shallow, but with the the vert. line at center, it is a fast effective short range sight setup on a Kahr.

Did you get the rear sight with the Tritium bar? I saw that they had come up with one. My K9 will be 12 for me in March and acquisition is a bit hard with the faded night sights. I'm not crazy about the big dot, though, 'cause that's a BIG sucker!

I went with the standard dot setup. Its a little smaller than the big dot, but larger than usual. I find it works great for both close and distance shooting.

what I have is the XS brand big dot with the tritium. the rear sight (included) is a very shallow v with a VERTICAL tritium bar you align under the front sight which yes is pretty big but works pretty well for me. Also at Kahrshop.com I see that with the Novak's you can get a rear with what appears from the pic to be a horizontal bar.
I ordered the big dots from Kahr and had them installed locally when I saw how tight they were in the dovetail.
