Hi all,
First I would just like to say thank you to all the member here at Kahr talk, you guys have been great and certainly made me feel welcome when I came here to ask questions before my purchase, the small community vibe going on here just makes this a fun place to talk guns.
I had done a lot of research regarding the Kahr PM9, and I must admit, I was a bit skeptical after reading all the threads of issues, but I decided to take the plunge and go for it any way. I went through countless threads discussing random things to look out for, springs, mags, lube charts, pre-prep etc, and I followed those pointers to the letter.
So today I got my PM9 in black stainless factory "Meprolights":

resisted the urge to go take it right away to the range and instead went home and did the entire prep, I racked this thing prob 600+ times till it was smooth, then stripped it all down, cleaned with nitro and re-oiled, then racked some more till I literally had a blister on the web on my thumb and hand lol.
Aesthetics wise, the gun is perfect, the rolling is perfect, no hard edges, there is no oddities, and the sights look at picture great, I use the same sights on my HK.
I would like to comment, the mags that came with this gun are stamped "MK" and both the 6 round and 7 round drop clean on their own with no resistance. I have one extra mag I ordered stamped 9-6 and this one does not drop clean, I looked at the back of the mags and notice the welds are different, the MK have a smooth weld with no protrusion, while the 9-6 has a small noticeable bump running along the seem, I assume this is the cause of the slight sticking that happens.
I also tried loading the 7 rounder which looked like the bullets were not seated properly, after breaking the mag down I found the spring was installed improperly and the spring head was not the same angle as the follower and in fact was the opposite, so thanks the to the mag thread I promptly flipped it over and sealed it back up.
After everything was complete and ready to go I headed off to the local indoor range. grabbed 4 silhouettes and 200 rounds of 115gr PMC 9MM. I also brought a half box of Hornady critical defense 115gr and also Hornady TAP 124gr.

With that all said, I am completely blown away.. my range trip was flawless!
I used both the 6 round mag and the 7 round alternating between each both of 50 rounds. the both worked absolutely perfect, not a single issue what so ever.
I was running counts of 5 rounds so I could keep track and make a note of how each reload was and what count I was currently on. Out of all 200 range loads, I had "zero" failures to feed, "zero" failures to eject and not a single time did the slide not lock back at the end of the mag, the 200 rounds I put through was absolutely flawless.
During these two hundred rounds, I was even able to slingshot rounds into the chamber. I fired in both a standard two handed thumbs forward and a single right hand at varying stages of the two hundred.
When it came time to throw a few of the Hornady's down line, I had zero issues with either round, they both loaded, ejected and fired perfectly fine. This was my first time shooting the critical defense round as I usually edc the TAP round, but I was surprised at how the recoil actually felt more controlled than even the PMC range round, just interesting.
I brought it home stripped it down, this gun gets dirty! 200 rounds was crazy looking, it needed a serious cleaning lol, all is back to normal, I followed the lube chart and it looks great and like new again.
All in all, I could not have asked for a better range day with a brand new gun, I will say, the trigger as noted is a smooth deliberate pull, I am going to have to work on it, I was doing fine getting all my bullets at center mass, I did not work on accuracy much, but I did work on getting used to the trigger pull, I figured if I am going to shoot 200 rounds in the name of breaking the gun in, I may as well practice a little along the way.
I found all my shots to be high and to the left, with one mag I did try and be a little more accurate but even then I was unable to zero in a bullseye hah, I have to see the chart and figure out what high left means.
Here is a target, 50 rounds @ 7 yards during the first 200, both eyes open and a steady rate of continuous fire per mag, its enough to get the job done but clearly displays the high left pushing going on.
Anyway, thanks for all the info and most of all those threads of prep.

Thank you again all, now instead of all the research I can chill out and become a casual chatter.
Cheers!
