I just got in an ammo order from Cabela's.
Cabela's -- Sellier & Bellot Law Enforcement Training Ammo (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712-cat20837_TGP&id=0077328210837a&navCount=1&podId=0077328&parentId=cat20837&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=9IS&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true)
Factory info: Sellier & Bellot - Pistol and revolver cartridges (http://www.sellier-bellot.cz/pistol-and-revolver-detail.php?ammunition=9&product=172)
MZ Velocity 360 m/s = 1,122 fps and MZ energy = 518 Joules = 382 ft/lbs.
conversion: Conversion Calculators - Convert Joules to ft/lbs - Chapel Steel (http://www.chapelsteel.com/joules-ft-lbs.html)
I use 124gr bullets for practice ammo and this ought to be good range fodder. At $11.99 a box and using the Cabela's $20 off $100 or more purchase, 500 rounds cost me $104.95 shipped to my door. That comes out to about 21˘ a round and $10.50 a box delivered. Keep an eye out for deals like this. I try to point them out as I find 'em.
OOPS -- I got the shipments mixed up. :blushing: I got these for $114.95 delivered = 23˘ each and $11.50 per box.
I'm paying $104.95 for 5 boxes of CorBon 125-grain +P 9mm ammo for CCW. Cabela's -- CORŽBON Self Defense Handgun Ammunition (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp;jsessionid=1XEM0JF2V1ZCNLAQBBKCCONMCAEFKI WE?type=product&cmCat=Related_IPL_215321&id=0060809216733a&_requestid=275162&_requestid=75069)
That's just over a buck a round for carry ammo, which isn't too bad these days.
Picture -- note green coated primers -- boxer, non-corrosive.
