Since I'm already logged in, and commenting on other posts, AND carrying the CW40 this week, just thought I'd give a plug for the CW front Trijicon night sight that Kahr is running for $30. With shipping, it was $37 to my mailbox.
The only thing that ever bothered me about my CW40's look was that plastic blade sitting out there on that metal slide. Looked like a domino standing on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. Since all my other Kahrs are P's, and have the nice, dovetailed in metal front sights, the plastic one on the CW40 started bothering me after a couple of years during which I was very happy with all the other things about the CW40. It got so bad I was thinking about asking Kahr if a P40 slide would fit on the CW40, and if so, was prepared to go through that expense.
Installation was a breeze. And when I saw how easily that original plastic sight snapped off as part of the installation procedure, I was double glad I was putting the metal Trijicon on.
Looks great. Hope I don't get blasted for no for and after photos, or even an after photo, but trust me, it looks great. If pressed, I will try to post a photo. But it really looks great:). And works great after dark.
Now I am content with my CW40's look in the presence of my P's and PM's.
