Just got my new CM9 and need some recommendations on an good IWB holster. It needs to the very low profile since I'm wearing IWB at 1 o'clock. For example, the belt clip kydex holster is my favorite so far for my p238. It is extremely small and thin.

I have a crossbreed for 5 o'clock and LOVE it. They have a microclip series that would probably be perfect for your appendix carry.
I have a Silent Thunder on my wish list right now for the leather lining; it'll be nicer to my gun's black diamond finish than the plain kydex of the crossbreed holster. I don't know how their holsters do on the appendix carry though. I can't carry like that to save my life. Literally...

Make that a trifecta for the Silent thunder! It's a Kydex shell lined with soft leather to protect the gun's finish. It conceals very well and is very comfortable. Your CM9 will nestle into it perfectly as does my PM9 and anything bigger is too much holster for that little gun.
With the single clip it is a true grab-n-go holster as you can pick it up and slip it inside the waist on your way out the door. That's something you won't do with a 2 clip holster.
The Garretts are super people and Ron Garrett( Ron61) hangs out here a little on weekends. They stand behind their products and will exchange or refund if you don't like it for any reason. That's a safe move for them because very few don't like them.
See this slideshow (http://s762.photobucket.com/albums/xx269/OldLincoln/Holsters/?albumview=slideshow) which shows a little larger gun than yours, then you can visit the website (http://garrettindustries.mybigcommerce.com/products/Silent-Thunder-IWB.html) to see the order info.

You're right! My 2 clip Crossbreed MiniTuck is cumbersome. That, the wear on my gun's finish, and it being a little rough around the edges wears holes in my pants where it rubs the chair when I sit. I know those seem like big problems, but I really DO love my crossbreed holster overall. But I DO think I would love the Silent Thunder more.
FYI, Crossbreed's inventor and warehouse is in my home town! :-)
The Garretts ARE extremely nice, and I haven't even paid them for a product yet! They take customer service to a new level of service to people, not just customers. (You could say I'm a fan) haha

My favorite holster, light as a feather and small as it can be so it and the gun disappear from your consciousness when wearing it, and only $40 (shipped) is the PJ Clip On Belt Loop Kydex IWB (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). Coach Paul, who makes these holsters, is a great guy, too, and will go the extra mile to satisfy you. Wearing it at 1:00, I would ask for no cant. His turnaround is about 2 weeks, I believe. Here it is fitted to a Walther PPS....
Enjoy your gun, and the accessorizing which is so much fun! :D

The PJ Kydex holster I mentioned fits my CM9 with not an extra millimeter in any direction. Easy on and off with the over-the-belt Kydex clip, secure with adjustable click-in, click-out retention, and it is the only holster I have that makes my CM9 vanish from my consciousness when wearing it! I don't feel the weight (or mass) of the gun there at all, even when moving around; it sort of becomes part of my body. One might expect this level of comfort with a P380 or LCP, but it is exceptional with a loaded CM9 weighing over 20 oz. I believe you will find this is all you need for belt carry. For practical, everyday, all day long carry, the PJ holster can't be beat!

Thanks guys! These all look awesome!
The silent thunder looks very nice and tuckable. It doesn't need to be tuckable, but that would be an awesome extra feature and may justify the higher price. The leather lining is also appealing.
I also like the PJ behind the belt J hook and it's less than half the price. It looks slightly lower profile than the silent thunder. Clearly not tuckable though.
Hmmm....

Shhhhhhhh....I'm hoping it's still there when I have the money to buy it! ;-)
Based upon JFootin's recommendation that I keep seeing every time this question comes up I ordered a PJ IWB this morning for my PM9. Can't wait until it gets here. Lifetime warranty, 30 day return guarantee. You can't go wrong.

I think the silent thunder looks like a winner. Now just need to decide on regular or the slim 2. Some say the slim is unstable from being offset...I'm very active and need it to stay put reasonably well. Thoughts from those that have one?

I do not have one. I have looked into them and they are about 1/4" thinner but are a little less stable as the weight is canted out from the clip a little. Ron says it's mainly for appendix carry to make the clip location more comfortable when sitting.

Hold off your decision for a few days. They have a new tuckable thin model called the Fusion almost ready to go.

It looks just like the regular one except the clip is part of a separate strip of Kydex that is screwed and glued to the front of the holster, with a gap between them where your shirt tucks in. It is still low profile, slightly thicker there but still much less bulky than the Silent Thunder.

FYI, all the ST holsters are tuckable. Shirt goes between the belt clip and pants.

This is the Fusion which is currently for the 1911 but Kahrs are coming out before long.

Note that it's very compact yet provides a wide enough body for the larger guns. I'm proud of them for doing this as it fills a need for those bigger pieces to spread on the belt. For the PM/CM line though I doubt it's necessary as the single clip is terrific.
Oh, as all their holsters, this is very tuckable as the shirt slips between the holster body all the way down to the clip/belt loop attachment near the bottom.

So you feel like the PJ is less bulky than the silent thunder? It's hard to tell from the pics.

J,
What size belt width will it fit?

email paul at pjholster@gmail.com
He can make it to fit whatever you want.... closed loop, j hook, any belt width within reason ect... 40 bucks well worth it and you'll get them in a week or two.

Any size you specify. I got the standard 1.5", but Paul will do whatever you want.

Uncle Mike's IWB, very soft nylon suede-like material, weighs almost nothing. I carry CW9 inside the belt but outside the pants at about 3 o'clock. Snugs up nicely to my spare tire and you can change the cant for comfort like when sitting in car. Only downside- hard to re-holster weapon, requires 2 hands.

The link shows a holster that Sig throws in with P238s. It is a great fit to the gun but a poor fit to any gunbelt I own. Slips off the belt too easily.
As for your CM9, Crossbreed type holster can be had elsewhere. Some are better and cheaper. I can recommend Tommy Theis holsters. You'll have it home in less than 10-12 days. I can recommend COMPTAC Minotaurs as well. If you like an all kydex design, Alabama Holsters makes some nice ones. If you want a leather lined kydex model, guys here seem to like the Silent Thunder from Garrett Industries.

I'd go with two clip designs, widely spaced. The pic shows my PM9 in a COMPTAC Minotaur. I usually carry around 2 o'clock. This is adjustable for cant and ride height.
