I have trijicon sights on my duty weapon and on my off duty 45.

Should I purchase the same for my pm9 or are there others you'd recommend?

Pros/cons?

I'm worried about the Xs front sight being too big and getting snagged when I draw...

My friend has a set of uninstalled mepros he is looking to sell that would fit a new style PM9. The mepros are like the trijicons but the white dots surrounding the tritium is slightly larger. These are what come on the factory installed models

The difficult thing about changing sights is making sure the dovetails are the same. The easiest is to stay with the stock night sights, which as stated above are Meprolite, which is IMO every bit as good as the Trijicon which are also very good.

I have both Mepro and Trijicon. The larger surrounding white tube is the reason I prefer the Mepro sights to the Trijicon. The brightness and size of the actual tritium vial looks to be the same, but the larger mepro is easier to see in normal lighting IMHO.

Here's a comparison photo. Mepro on the left.

Mepros are good until they age and go dark. Relamping them is very expensive. Trijicon offers factory relamping at a very good price. For this reason, I'm going Trijicon on all future purchases.

Best for use, I have to say the XS system tops Triji, Mepro, and Heine in my opinion. I wish I could afford to redo everything with XS.

I sure like my xs big dots on my kahrs, being IMO the kahrs are close up personal guns those big front sights just grab one's eyeballs...

I second Jocko on this one... I have a pair of XS24/7 big dots on my Glock and am very happy with them. Very fast front sight acquisition. Not marksmanship / bullseye sights by any means, but accurate enough for any self defense distances you would be in. If you like the "lollipop" picture (that's what I have on my CW40 too)... then it may work for you. as well.
