View Full Version : Is Jocko MIA?
I heard Jocko was on a trip to some exotic place but he seems to have been gone a long time. Anyone know what is up with Jocko?

I'm back just tired, had to get this greece and Italy crapola straightened out over in europe, took awhile, had to threaten the Italian minister with one of my favorite horse heads but he resigned. Chancelor merkel is really a guy in disquise so we did not hit it off to well when I tried to give her a greeting kiss, but I am back but just watching right now ad u guys seem to have it all under control. still alittle riding season left here, my 30 degree ride today for coffee was a nice one indeed but felt good to be on the bike to. I miss it and the forum. Loved Europe, but love Americ far more. We have issue here, THEY have problems.
thanks WMD
One of my yorkies died while we were gone, didn't make our trip home any easier either. damn pets seem to get to attached to us. old age I guess, hate to see anything suffer anymore, except maybe an illegal who gets caught hanging on a barbed fence trying to enter out country.
Yup I'm back..
P.S. after going back and reading many of the past posts for over 3 weeks of being outta touch, I notice HOW CLEAN THIS FORUM seems to be without jocko:blah::blah: almost like a religious experience!!!:D
after being n Amsterdam and talking to a window gal in the RED LIGHT district. I told her she would go broke in the U. S. as most of our gals just give it away:D

I'm still wondering how many days it took to cross the Atlantic on the Harley with the floaties tied to it?
Hey....
Glad your back Jocko. the list has been much too quiet. I wondered where you had been. Sounds like you had decent trip. Sorry to hear about the Yorkie. I have been down that road. It is a tough one. Haven't put my bike away yet but it is geting close. Maybe a ride this weekend if I can squeeze it in.

Rumor has it you traded the Harley for a Wing for this trip? Any truth to that?
I suspect I'm in the poop barrel on this one. But I'm good at this.

Don't worry Jocko, Bawanna traded his Kahr for a Kel-Tec while you were gone.

If I probably didn't deserve that I'd be really really ticked. At least you didn't say I was dating Peloski and the KT was a 380 but I'm sure you were thinking it.
You never did like me did you? Never did, never will? Not in any mano mano way you understand.

Thunder71 you remembered that wrong, it wasn't the kel-tec he switched to but a hi-point - for its thinness.
Sorry to hear about the Yorkie, jocko.

one yorkie left though. Probably bawanna u stand a better chance of owning a kel tec or a hi point than this ol timer will ever have in owning a wing.
thanks guys for the nice comments on my yorkie but it is not necessary. death is part of life.
u guys outta see bawanna's collection of kel tec's. He only carrys his kahr as a back up to his kel tec..

I thought that was a brilliant shot on my part, perhaps my best effort so far. Even though I was focused on the mammoth mammary glands the idea still got through. Truly amazing.
So good in fact that I've revised the seating chart for Thanksgiving and your once again back at the kids table with yours truly.

Come on, Bawanna... are you funnin' us??
If it's really you, Jocko, welcome back, and I'm sorry for your loss. Losing our last doggie was like losing a kid. We won't go through that again... no more pets... just Kahrs... and other hardy pets like that.

Wynn,

Well, Jocko just affirmed that he's back. I'll post my answer here:
Hey, I'm glad you made it back okay. I'm hitting the road Tuesday... I hope. Going up to Marion,IL, to visit the kids and my Ex... and my In-Laws... for Thanksgiving. Wifey has to work so I won't have to make so many stops, but I would rather have her with me.
I said I hope because I have to try to get a danged tooth extracted tomorrow. Tried to do it Saturday after I couldn't eat my cereal... "pebbles and twigs"... found that the tooth that had given me a bit of warning that something was wrong was cracked... all the way through the root... bummer... this one affects my smile... and it will take about a year to get an implant, I think... got to let the jaw heal and then the work done needs time for the jaw bone to heal. I just went in Friday to have an impression made for another tooth's crown... already got everything done up to installing the actual tooth on that implant. That "tooth" is just a plastic cap on the implant abutment... lower right... and the cracked one is just to the left of my left incisor, so chewing is fun... not!
Last night I managed to eat beef tenderloin steak, mushrooms, and half a baked potato... then a bunch of cheese... Roquefort and goat brie with some fresh Beaujolais Nouveau. I couldn't eat a salad, though... can't handle the crunchy stuff.
I need to get going this morning... the problem with my newly cracked tooth made me miss the gun show here yesterday and I want to go today. I'm going to grab the hurricane fund again and take it with me, but I don't expect to find any gun at a price I would like... cheaper by online purchase! Those dealers at the show want premium prices!
It's fun to go and look, though. Maybe I'll luck out... and maybe I'll "luck out" and bring the hurricane fund back home again... as usual.
I still need to do some yard work and clean out the van and reload it. I'll spend the night in rest area on the way up... of course I'll have a few of my Kahr buddies along for company... just have to sort out which ones to carry.
I've got my 9-year old laptop and my LG smartphone so I should be able to check in... since Wifey won't be complaining about me using the computer.
Wynn:)

Sounds like I'm going to have to give my mail the smell test. When I was a teenager, I was such a heavy sleeper that my younger brother and his friend snuk in and put sardines all over me, my bed, on the floor in front of my bed where I would step on them, and finally one on my upper lip, at which time I finally woke up and chased them out of the house threatening to do them mortal injury! When I was in high school, I would sleep in Saturday mornings. At bedtime, I would lay down on my back in the middle of the bed with my hands across my chest. Without waking, or going to the bathroom, or rolling over, tossing or turning or anything, I would sleep for 11+ hours! Man, I wish I could still sleep like that! :frown:

It of course wouldn't be the same as direct from Jocko but I could send ya a couple of mine. I got so many I had to add on a trophy room to the house, I should have made it larger, didn't realize it would fill up so fast.
I understand he sends out so many now that he direct ships to save time and storage.
I'm sure this doesn't please his ancestors but its the price of technology.

Naw, but thanks anyway, B,
I only use fresh horse heads or recently dead fish in my Christmas gumbo.
Had to drive 20 miles of dirt roads Saturday just to find (o.k., to make) a road kill chicken for the Thanksgiving gumbo. My kin will never know it ain't really turkey. And... for that matter, it wasn't really a chicken.

not real sure as it was well tenderized by both front and rear tires, but there was enough long black feathers still hanging on, I think it might ahve been a buzzard. Since you mentioned it, there was a bonus in the deal. Not for sure, but there was still a good bit of a possum carcass on the side of the road where I hit the chicken/buzzard. Well, actually they wuz both between the ditch and fence, but I needed a front end alignment anyway. I think it worked pretty good as I was able to stay (mostly) on the right side of the road on the way home.
