Does anyone here use this stuff? I just got my new cm9 and have been doing alot of reading, before I take it to the range next week. I have 2 questions about this Powder Blast stuff...http://www.break-free.com/?location=/products/index.asp
#1 is it ok for spraying out the striker channel? The website says it contains cirtus oil, which I'm assuming may leave an unwanted residue in there.

#2 The can says not to use on rubber or plastic. Do I just be carefull about not getting any on the polymer frame, or find another product?
Thanks,
zam

i use it on my pm9. havent had any issues.

i spray it through the striker channel, but haven't noticed any residue.

it seems relatively easy on the skin for a solvent.

quick google search turned this up. apparently you don't want to leave it sitting for long periods on polymer, but i usually wipe it right off, or soak cleaning patches with it.

common sense goes a long way with any spray cleaner. If Apheod uses it and has no issues then go with it, if in doubt change brands and as long as the can says non cholorinated u should be good to for on any polymer also.l

I'm on the last can of brake cleaner I have and am seriously considering a non-acetone cleaner for next time. It does very well on the channel but is hell on blower switches. Well, may as well confess.... my electric blower hi/low/off switch was sticking so I wanted to flush it out with something that wouldn't leave a residue.

My head was up and locked you know where because I automatically grabbed the channel cleaner and squirted the heck out of it. It suddenly felt more sticky so I figured it's breaking all that gunk of 15 years out so shot it more. Now it feels really, seriously, as in "I can barely move it" sticky so I jam it in the Hi setting with all my strength. Now I have a Hi Speed only blower that I have to unplug to turn off. Bet I'm the only guy here that has welded his blower switch with gun cleaner. Now I'm thinking I ought to stick with cleaner that I can't hurt myself with.
