View Full Version : Anyone shooting tomorrow?
Going to send some rounds down range tomorrow. Cannot wait! When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, all the guys and some friends used to go rabbit hunting (with 22's) every Thanksgiving day morning. Guess that was how we were kept out of the way while the turkey and fixings were prepared. I miss that tradition.
However, the PM9 will be dispatching some lead tomorrow morning! :D

Monday for me.
That's when I'm scheduled to get my S&W 640-1 back from the third gunsmith.
Plus 250 rounds of Remington 125 gr Golden Saber 357 Magnum ammo arrives UPS at about 10:30 that day.
Not that I'm anxious, or tracking the ammo, or anything like that - LOL!

We share the same outdoor tradition, except that it was shotguns for rabbit and pheasant. I would give anything to share just one more day afield with my dad.

Nope! :(
Welcome to Pima Pistol Club (http://pimapistolclub.com/7-notices/31-welcome-to-pima-pistol-club)
Pima Pistol Club is a member-owned shooting range, open to the public, located near Catalina, Arizona (http://pimapistolclub.com/info/location), just north of Tucson. We have facilities for rifle and pistol target shooting (http://pimapistolclub.com/info/facilities) and host a variety of competitions (http://pimapistolclub.com/matches) including USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, ACTS, and NRA Action Pistol.
This is a cold range. All firearms brought onto the range must be unloaded. Clearing stations are available at the entrance.
The range is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please check the calendar (http://pimapistolclub.com/calendar) for events that may occupy some of the range facilities.
But . . . probably on Friday and or Saturday! :DWhy a "cold range"? I assume they want those legally carrying to unload. What gives?

Every range I have been to has a similar policy. Even the gun store I frequent.

Don't know if I will shoot today or not, but plan on doing so at least once between now and the end of the weekend.
I guess that I am fortunate in that even though the range I go to is a 'cold range' they do respect the rights of those who carry concealed legally and don't make them unload while on the range. The exception to that is, of course, when participating in one of the IDPA or such competitions.

I just received my CM9 yesterday afternoon, so yes I'm definitely taking it to the range this afternoon. I can't wait to try this out!

raining here, so I put my guhns back in the case for a better day..

I certainly understand that! I have those same feelings.
A quick update! So, me and my friends get to the range only to find the ranges are closed. The guys (and gals) are bird hunting! I totally forgot about that. There are other ranges we could go to but would involve substantialy more drive time. Unfortunately, that extra time wasn't in the plans. Oh well, the joke is on me! :o
We changed plans to shoot Sunday morning. Guess I will have to go home and help the wife chop vegetables! :D
