Is anyone using a Desantis Soft Tuck IWB holster and if so, how do you like it? I'm considering getting one for my CM9.

Optics Planet has them at a good price:

I use one for my CW40, and like it very much, it's very adjustable, so you can wear it in the small of your back, at any other position with as much cant as you like. I have mine adjusted so the clip hooks on my pants about 5 o'clock and have the handle canted up at about 45 degrees so the hand rides along my kidney. This works very well as long as you don't bend over at the waist, because then the handle sticks out way too much, so I bend at the knees when looking at stuff down low. I guess that's better for you back anyway. I rarely use the tuck feature, but when I have it works great, and most of my dress shirts blouse out in the back anyway, so it really hides your weapon well, there is a little black hook that hooks onto your belt, so you need a dark belt or the hook shows, but I don't think most people look for things like that unless they are another CC permit holder. I think I paid about $27.00 delivered with shipping. I think I ordered it from DeSantis. JFootins link shows then for less, and if you can find other items for just over $10.00 (magazine pouches come to mind) they ship for free. I had to leave my gun in the holster for about 3 or 4 nights to get it to fit properly and release the gun with the amount of resistance I like. I think the holster was built for the CW9 and Keltec PF9 which are a bit narrower than my CW40, but the leather stretched out just fine and has become one of my favorite holsters. The only "problem" is the clasp that you clip onto your pants is very strong and sometimes a bit of a struggle to get them onto your pants, I always put the holster on my pants before I put my pants on as it's almost impossible to do all that behind my back. That clasp loosens up just a little with regular wear, but still provides a very firm grip on your trousers. Overall I think it's a great holster and hard to beat in that price range. My CW45 has the Laserguard on it, so I went with a Remora holster for that. With which I've had one problem where it slid down the back of my pants, not a very comfortable situation with a pistol with no manual safety. Thankfully it was dark out and I was able to shake it down to where I could pull it out of the bottom of my pants leg without touching the trigger. That was my fault as I had loosened my belt after dining, and didn't tighten back up before I went down to check the mail. I live in an apartment and have to go up and down a flight of stairs to get to the mailboxes. We have some real lowlifes in these apartments, so I don't go out after dark unarmed.

I have one for my CM9 that I wear every day. I wear at 4 o'clock canted at about 45 degrees with a Wilderness Tactical 5 stitch instructor belt with untucked shirts. Here are some pro's and cons:

Pro's
- natural material conforms to gun and feels good against skin
- cannot tell you are wearing a gun when walking around
- mouth stays open for reholstering
- adjustable cant
- very cheap: on sale at midway for $16+s/h

Con's
- very little if any retention once broken in... gun can easily slip out. Tightness of belt keeps gun secure
- mouth is a little thick (necessary for to aid in reholstering)
- j-hook is not good for bathroom activities when pants are down... pant material must support gun/holster

The retention problem could be a deal breaker. I'm trying to decide between the soft tuck and the Tuck This II. I prefer leather over plastic, but I need good retention. Cost isn't a concern, but comfort and security are. Thanks to all for your comments.

Here is what, IMO, you should look at: the PJ Clip-on IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). It is made of Kydex, weighs about an ounce—light as a feather. Very good adjustable retention. Available in a tuckable version, or not. I have one for my CM9. Wear it at about 8:30. It is the only holster I own that literally vanishes from my consciousness when I am wearing the gun in it! I mean I cannot feel it there AT ALL, can't feel the weight of the gun there, or its mass when I move around. It and the gun seem to become part of my body. I don't have pics of mine, yet, but here are a couple of pics of one made for a Walther PPS.

Please note how there is not one extra millimeter of length or width. It holds the gun up tight against your body. It is SUPER THIN. It has a small but effective sweat shield that doesn't get in the way when you draw. And this absolutely perfect 24/7 carry holster is only $40 shipped from one of the nicest guys in the holster business!

I like the simplicity of the design. Can you use it for appendix carry?

Sure. Mine was made for the sweet spot that he and I prefer: right behind the strong side hip. Talk with Coach Paul about appendix carry. I have an idea that he will recommend less cant or a strait cant. But he's the expert, not me. Plus, you know what angle you want the grip to sit at. Work with him. He'll make it to suit you.
