Well I'm pleased to say I love just about everything relating to my recent trade into a DLC Kahr PM9.
I was full up on large guns and really wanted to try a small 9mm. I normally carry a S&W BG380 that has a flawless 1375 rounds thru it. I simply wanted something small and a little stronger.
My last Kahr was an MK40, which never had a failure...I just got out of the caliber at that time.
Just ran 100 rounds thru this baby and it was perfect. No jams or any issues. Slingshot or using the slide release easily chambers a round. Good groupings using some Hornady ammo I had sitting around. I need more trigger time but so far it's looking like the BG is going to be replaced for EDC.

and might I add that imo U HAVE THE BEST OF THE BEST in that DLC PM9. U have what I call the old style blunt nose (glock style pm9) WHICH is no longer made in that slide style today. It is shorter by .20 which ain't much but it is shorter and has to be a tad lighter than what one can buy today. All internals are the same. U got a dandy my friend, cherish it.
You also have a feature that as of now the new owners of kahr cm9 and PM9 cannot do. U can order from wolffs gunsprings just the outter recoil spring for your PM9 and in the heaver weight even of 20.5#. Ur factory spring is 18#, U can order eitrher fromn wolffs, where as if u order through kahr you must buy the entire recoil assembly at a cost of around $25+. You really only need to change the outter spring to.
If u feel you want to order the entire recoil assembly be sure when u contact kahr that you tell them u want the 13 coil recoil assembly and not the 15, as they will not interchange.
U got a dandy gun my friend, now just shoot it like u stole it.
ur new here, so u might want to visit the kahr tech section and hit on two good sticklys.

You're going to like the heck out of that little pistol. They are shooters. Nice to see you on the Kahr forum, as well. Welcome. I have one just like it, except I have the night sights. They are a hoot to shoot, and conceal very well. I love mine...Mike

Thanks for the welcome and the info...I wasn't sure if it was a 'new' style or 'old'. Sounds like I got a good deal then :)
jocko - thanks for the information. As a newb I was probably bound to ask for that same info later on. I'd really like to order NS's but I wasn't sure which style to go with. I think the older style Mepro's are only $80 on the Kahr site. I'm leaning towards those.
Love this gun so far and I'm glad I went back to a small setup. I was stock full of full sized guns and I've gone back to all mid-size Sig's and this Kahr.
I was using a S&W BG380 for EDC but this Kahr is going to give it a run for its money. The BG has well over 1000 flawless rounds through it, but this PM9 feels so good in the hands.
I was originally not happy about having two mags that both had extensions on them. One was a 6rnd with pinky ext, and the other was the 7rnd that stuck out. I went through the papers in the case and found the stainless flat baseplate included so I went ahead and swapped it out on my 6rnd mag.
Very happy so far!

u don't have the older style slide that takes the older style sights. U can put the xs big dots on it also. The bottom of your slide has a dimple on it towards the back of the slide. that indicates the new style sights. Only difference was the actual dovetail size but ur ok in that... the extended magazine IMO sucks, many even give feed issues, test it out to be sure it is OK but it if wasmine and u love the gun buy another flush fit mag and be done with it, or return the extended magazine and they will exchange it for a 6 rounds flush fit.

Kahr sight dovetails have a rep for being very difficult, especially on the rear. Send the slide in and let them install the night sights. You don't want all that trouble trying to do it yourself.

I just found the flush stainless baseplate in the paperwork bag in the case. I swapped it out for the pinky ext. Love it.
I think I want the Mepros 3 dot setup for it. Just wasn't sure which ones to order.
Thank you all for the info. This site and the Sig forum are my two current favorites other than the local GA I'm always using for buying and selling.
