Quick HELLO and THANKS to all forum members who helped me make my P45 (black) choice. Now, you don't know you helped cause I've been a lurking' for a while. Now you do.

Brought it home from the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida gun show today - only one there - believe me I checked!

Keeping it on the short side first time out - sometimes hard for me.

I tend of over analyze and then second guess everything, but I am feeling pretty good at the moment. Haven't fired it yet. Gonna read the manual and tech section, clean, lube, etc, and then put 200 or so down range this week.

Been all over the map last two weeks considering: PM9, CM9, LC9, Beretta Nano (rumored to exist but not at gun show), PM45, CW45, P45, etc but in the end I decided not to restrict to more "proven" pocket carry - I mean I got stuff that goes in them pockets. Plus I kind of wimped out in wanting to learn the two finger pinky-tuck hold - and I really wanted a 45. Got an old Beretta 92 Italian stainless and gave my oldest son my Walther PPS 9mm about six months ago. Did I say I really wanted a 45.

All kidding aside, figure to start out IWB with a remora and when I can find cargo/tactical pants that fit my lard butt then maybe front right pocket or cargo pocket at times.

Open to suggestions - I ain't no expert at nuttin' - but I get by.

Pete

Well no more lurking Mr. You got a great gun there so bond with it and give us a range report after you get there.

Sounds like you did your homework and came up with a good choice.

Glad ya found us, hope you stick around and enjoy yourself.

Thanks. I just noticed I said PM45 in the title and P45 in the text.

Darn newbies...

It's a P45 can't fix it now. DLC it is - more proper than "black".

Last post for the night - also noticed BOTH mags fit FLUSH - no stainless showing. Either that's characteristic of the P/CW series or something is terribly wrong - I doubt it.

I hope the gun turns out to be everything you hope it will be.
I'm pretty happy with my CW45, added a CT Laserguard, and it takes a size 4A Remora holster, which has proven to be very comfortable. I really like the laser. I can see why Jeff over at Gunblast.com sees them as a "must have" for any SD weapon.
Word of caution, if you loosen you belt after a big meal, be sure and tighten it back up before going anywhere or the Remora may end up someplace you don't want it.

Hello and welcome ptoemmes, you will enjoy P45. Shoot it and go through break in period, mine after 150 runs perfect. You chose a fine pistol and I might add...accurate.

I picked up a UBG Regulator holster and conceals my P45 under a t-shirt. My dad lives in Port St Lucie and has his c/c license, do you have your's.

This is by far the Best forum for Kahr owners, the members here and moderator truly care, and if you should have a problem...everyone will jump in to help.

Enjoy your P45

Welcome Pete. Here's one of my blog posts about Remora Holsters and the P45. Get one, or two, or three depending on your specific holster needs. If you are in a hurry, it's about halfway down the blog entry.

Welcome to 45 ACP part of the Kahr Forum! I like my P 45 and my PM 45 check with Bawana's experience with Wilson mags, also I have been having success with GI mags. just open up the top edge of lock-up hole on the side, and they work for me....cheap 7 round mags.
