Barth, Are those a matched set of 640's? I had one ... wish I still did.

cool, the glare on the lower photo disguised the alloy frame. When it comes to revolvers, I chose to stay with Rugers ... but I have to admit my SS Smith 640 is something I miss fondling. These are fantastic concealed carry revolvers.

Bought the 342 ti new many years ago as a pocket pistol.
It still fills that role today.
But I'm a stainless man at heart and always longed for a 640.
Later, hearing about these ignition keys, felt I better get a
peice of Classic S&W history while I could.
Picked up this 640-1 at a gun show recently for $489.
Didn't really need it.
Or maybe I did!
