While practicing with my P380, ( pistol is two years old ) and pulling the trigger very slowly, I have noticed that there is a vey slight click, almost like a fine tuned double action revolver "stages" when firing double action.
When I pull it at normal speed, there is no click or at least none that I can discern
Actually I do not mind it being there as it does give an indication before the trigger breaks.
I guess the question of the day is :Is this something to be concerned about ?

That is exactly what you are feeling/hearing. I dont know the tech words for it but it is just before the trig will break. Someone will give you the real reason of whats going on but I think it is normal and beneficial if you can feel or hear that point on the trig pull and get to it quickly when shooting

It's more than likely the striker safety block being lifted out of the way by the cam.

It's probably the small spring under the side plate. Look in the gap between the frame and side plate. You can see the spring moving as you pull the trigger back. Does the click happen even if you don't pull the trigger all the way?

No, it is only when I pull the trigger very slowly...I gave it a good cleaning and there was some small debris in the pistol, exactly where I cannot say as it came out on a Q tip. Perhaps that was the cause....
