I cleaned it, lubed it, 200 slide cycles, cleaned again, 100 more slide cycles. Then off to the range with 250 rounds of Remington UMC. I fired 50 rounds, then turned it over to my gun buddy OldLincoln. He then put another 150 rounds down range.
Results:
FTF=0
FTE=0
Lite strikes=0
Fail to lock open on last round=0
Bummer, I have nothing to whine about, this gun ran perfect!!
My 50 rounds went center mass, with a couple exeptions, when I "anticipated".
All rounds were shot with the following Kahr mags.
5 6 round
1 7 round
2 8 round from my CW9
OldLincoln will show up and add his $0.02
PS Also, I installed a CT Laserguard prior to todays range.

You fired 50 and he took it and shot 150? Did he bogart the gun and refuse to give it back or what? I'm glad you two both had a good time at the range.

I don't believe you, no failures and you shorted the break-in by 200 slide racks?
That's preposterous!
Seriously, though - that is great! Congrats on a great shooter, it will serve you well (like I need to tell you that). ;)

Would have been here sooner but my hand hurts! I tried to give it back, but Roger insisted I do his dirty work, sigh. Don't feel sorry for him though as he was playing with his Glock 357 (conversion) and another 9mm. I got to shoot them all some, but 4 rounds of 357 was plenty.
Beside my 150 rounds of WWB, I ran a mag of Federal HST +P 147gn through it at the end and it simply ate it up and begged for more. This gun is ready!
I have to say a couple things about Roger's new PM9. First, it was flawless and great to shoot. Of course I put all 150 in the same hole at 30 yards but forgot to save my target. Well, maybe not all but at least 1 at 7yds. Okay, if you were a fly, the safest place to be was on that orange dot in the center. :rolleyes:
The new PM9 with standard recoil spring is considerably more stiff than my well broken in PM9 with Wolf heavy recoil spring. So those with new Kahrs can be assured it gets easier with use.
I'm even more convinced now that the proper prep & lube combined with exercising the slide makes the initial outing more trouble free. Remember, break in is the working of parts against each other to become smooth and it doesn't have to be fired to do that. It still needs to be shot but it a heck of a lot of fun when it all goes right.
Finally, Roger is a fine gentleman and good shot, so be nice to him. His guns are equipped with the CT Laser which is almost cheating except as he pointed out, there are no rules in a gun fight. I wasn't a fan of lasers in principle, but having shot a few of Roger's guns with them I may change my mind. I still point shoot but it makes a definite improvement to see the laser - like reaching out and touching the target.
It was a great outing and I can't wait to help Roger break in his next new gun!

Yea, right, every time I asked OldLincoln for my PM9 back, he would say "just a few more rounds, its almost broke in now'. LOL Unfortunately, I have some arthritis in my hands,:( so 75 rounds is about max for me, and I never saw OldLincoln complaining.:D
I was busy with my LC9, did a Galloway hammer replacement and wanted to try it out.
I can without prejudice, tell you all that the PM9 has the Ruger LC9 beat hands down comparing the trigger, and overall shooting. I am more accurate with the PM9.:)

I think we better bring that fly in for interrogation. I'm getting conflicting stories here. Hope they didn't hit the fly, the save the fly folks will be on us like a bad rash.
I can see his new cards now.

I did all my shooting at 9 yards ie 27 feet, and if the fly was on my orange colored center mass, he aint with us any more. That PM9 w'ct laser is very accurate!!

That's great! With the CM9 now readily available have haven't noticed many range reports on new PM9s. You must be rich, huh? :)

Rich or poor, here in Kalifornia, its a PM9 or nothing, CM9 not on approved list of firearms. There are a few used CM9's, but they want more than I paid for my new PM9. I paid $590 + tax + transfer, $662 out the door. The rip off artists here are asking $700+ for a used CM9. GO figure!!:der:

Rich? I traded a Glock 26 (paid $200!) and $100 for my PM9. I still feel guilty for getting such a smoking deal lol.
