I need some help; when did Kahr go to the taper on the PM9 slide?

I have two PM9s; one I bought used with the blunt nose slide and the other is a new one with the 'B" stamped frame, you guys help me when I had a questions about that some time ago.

They function great, no problems, just wanted to know....

Interesting. I was not aware there was a design change. Could you provide pictures? Thanks.

I will post some pictures; give me a little time and I will put the two side by side. I posted a picture here in the past so I think I can do it again.
Thanks

Not a very good picture, but lets see if you are able to see the difference.

The PM9 with the finger hook on the mag is the older blunt nose one

This may be a little better....

I think it was about a year ago give or take that they went to the tapered nose. If the B is stamped in the frame it stands for a blem, usually sold to distributors at a reduced price. Many times its very difficult to even tell what the blem is so I'd not be the slightest bit concerned about that.

My PM9 has a B.O.D. (born on date) of 8/10 and I purchased later that month. I was told it came from the first run of the longer slide.

At 4,000 rounds it's 100% reliable with ZERO malfunctions.

Thanks for the pictures. I own an IB serial PM9 and it does not have a tapered muzzle. Any ideas to the manufacture date of mine?

Although no one knows when there are some helpful pictures.

:DThanks for the link to the old thread; looks like this was hashed out some months ago and I missed it or it didn't ring with me since I was without PM9 at the time.

This forum has always been a geat resource and much better then most out there.

A big thanks to all for the information :)

Thanks for the info. and you are correct the BLEM has been a great shooter and I can't find the blemish anyplace on the gun; I will take the good deal all day long:D

could you post a pic of the size difference, my understanding is the blunt nose a wee bit shorter and a wee bit lighter. IMO I like the blunt nose look?..

The frames are the same size, look at much longer the CM9 slide is

I prefer the blunt nosed look than the tapered. I wonder what prompted the change.

I think most people do. They should go back to it.
