Took the CM9 to the range tonight for the first time. All went well shooting WWB ammo.

The first two mags the slide didn't lock back on empty, but after that the recoil spring much have loosened up a bit and things went as they should. No failures to Feed or eject.

One issue still present is the mags not dropping free, but I am only at round 65 of the 200 round break in, so this should ease up.

One thing that really impressed me was the 21 feet accuracy of this little pistol. While a lot of the shooting I did was just to get rounds down range, I did do some slow fire shooting to see what the gun could do at 21feet. I had several sub 3inch groups which is equal to what I can do with my Walther PPQ.

Nice to hear! The CM9 can be a very accurate pistol.

On the magazine dropping... it probably won't start dropping with an empty mag unless you pinch the top a little. There are thread here describing how.

Welcome to KahrTalk...

Congrats on your new CM9. That's the type of range report we like to read.

Just so you know, Kahr did not design the mags to drop free. So there is nothing "wrong" with it. But like Ressom said, there is an easy fix. It involves putting the empty mag tube in a vice or some channel lock pliers (padded with cloth or something to prevent scratches), and squeeze them together ever so slightly up near the top. A couple of mm is all that is needed. Do it a little, make sure the follower will still move freely through it, and check it in the gun for a free drop. Do it a little more as needed. I have never read of anyone ruining a mag doing this.

Congrats on the new CM9. Glad to hear that it performs well for you. They are extremely accurate little buggers. I know that..Keep it clean and lubed and shoot the snot out of it. Mike
