Just read it. Nice overview. Wonder how many of the nine on the list are owned by each of the folks on the Kahr forum? Would be neat to know.

It was ggod to read that regarding break-in and malfuntions, the author referenced Karhs manual: "That manual tells the buyer that he or she needs to run at least 200 rounds through the pistol before pressing it into service. That is coldly realistic advice that all of the other manufacturers would be well-advised to emulate." Kahr's manual telling like it is.

Wow the S&W is a good looking weapon. My friends wife carries the Kahr P380 and loves it.

I just saw 4 different models of S&W revolvers with laser grips in the case at my favorite gun shop. I think that they came from the factory with CT Laser Grips. The prices ranged from about $700 for the .38 up to about $900 for the .357 Magnum. There were 3 different .38's with hammer and hammerless versions. I didn't memorize the model numbers, but that seemed a good idea for a defense weapon -- a small revolver with laser grips -- KISS.

Went to the range this weekend and the guys behind the counter asked me if I saw the article. They proceeded to take out of the case an example of each (except Rohrbaugh which they do not have) and we discussed the pros and cons. The Sig and the Kahr were clearly the most reliable, though the Bersa was very cool to handle.

I have the Sig P238 and have been very happy with it. I'm a 1911 fan and the P238 fits right in. It has very mild recoil and followups with it's smooth SA are very quick.

QA on them has been pretty hit and miss. There have been issues with quite a few and the gun has really taken a pounding on the Sig Forum. I had some ejection failures in the first 200 rounds, but I loosened the extractor just a hair and swapped the recoil spring for a Wolff and the next 100 rounds were perfect.

It's a slick little gun.

I will say I was surprised no Bersas were in the mix. There are a lot of .380 out there that carry the Bersa label. It is a very popular little weapon. I would also take a Kahr or a Sig first but I was surprised the Bersa was absent from the comparison.
