I'm back in with Kahr. After a bad expierence with P380 last year I decided to give em another chance. I currently own a G19,Sig P239 SAS/DAK, and S&W 642. The G19 has a CT laser and is my bedside gun. The Sig I intended to carry but have changed my mind it will be my barbeque gun. ( its purdy). That leaves my 642 which conceals really good but I wanted something else.. I tried a G26 which I loved to shoot but its still a little chuncky. That brings me to the Kahr CW9, which my LGS just happened to have on hand. So I brought it home with me today. I had some reservations after the bad expierence with the P380 but I proceeded to break the CW down and polish the feed ramp with simichrome polish, greased it up good and racked the slide a couple hundred times. Off to the range for some testing. It was sitll a little stiff but did loosen up nicely. Put 165 rounds thru it of Fed and Tulammo. Real high quality stuff! Regardless it ate up every round without a hitch! I am really pleased with that. It is nice and slim and easy to conceal. So if you'll accept me back in the fold, I think I am ready to praise the CW9.:)

for me the P380 is not in the same league as the entire other kahr line. ur cw9 is one of the best, always has been, The price point is also excellent wheu look at the over all quality of this gun to.

nice report. glad ur back in the fold..

I think the whole CW line is great. My first Kahr was a CW9 and I never had one problem with it except when it was stolen.

WELCOME BACK

But you never had to have left. We take all kinds here (at least I think so)

Really enjoy my CW9. No problems in over 2,500 + rounds. Stopped counting at this point.

Thanks, I'm glad to see your round count with no problems, hate to spend good money and have trouble like that P380.

Glad you came back and glad it has worked out for you.

I got the PM9 because I favor pocket carry but for belt carry perhaps the CW9 is the better choice.

excellent report. and for surveyor at 2500 rounds that gun has to feel totally different than at round 25. It has to be so so smooth now that u should think u have a different gun. My PM9 is so so smooth that it is scary. My polymer rails look totally new, not a mark on them, it would be hard to guess how many rounds have been through my gun as it shows zero signs of wear ANYWHERE. I take good care of it and it takes good care of me. kinda like a team now..

I see new guns being introduced alot and some do bend my crank so to speak, but for me WHY would I even want to think about changing firearms when I now have a gun that has been just super flawless in over 32K rounds, and does literally everything I ask of it. I trust this gun totally and that is something that this gun has proven to me over the past4-5 years to win my confidence, so why do I want to go through this process again with another fokking gun???:third:

Congrats on that CW9. The CW9 is a GREAT gun. I sure miss the CW9 I traded but love the CM9 I picked up. The CW9 was a great shooter in my opinion.

Thanks, it does have a nice trigger. It compares favorable to my Sig P239 with the DAK trigger. Both are very smooth. :)

you might want to do is replace the striker spring with a 5 pounder from Wolff Springs. I did mine a while back and have had no light strikes with any of my reloads or factory ammo. The spring does make a difference in the trigger pull. Look through some of the posts, I think in the tech section.

Have had my CW9 since about April and probably near 1000 rounds. It is so smooth now I can't get the grin off my face whenever I shoot it. I even had thoughts about selling it to buy other guns, I like to get new guns, but this one is definitely a keeper.
If I ever have thoughts of selling one of my guns again, it will not be the CW9.

Spent so more quality time today with the CW9. Shot two more ammo brands without any kind of feed or eject issues. This included some hollow point self defense ammo. That puts the count at around 275 with no issues. Can not tell you how happy I am with that. Really pleased with this little 9mm.:D

right, nothing breaks a gunin better than the actual BANG thing happening time and time again. My PM9 is just glass smooth, My K9 the same way. If there was any high spots between the slide and frame, cycling action has eliminated them.:israel:
