Bought my CW.40 last weekend at a show, brand new, but the trigger click is waaaay back there. I have to pull the trigger all the way back and then even a little more to get the click. I know the trigger pulls are designed to be long, but this seems excessive, right? Haven't taken it to the range to do the "required 200," but I'm already wondering if I gotta lemon. Should I call Kahr tomorrow or will they tell me to rire 200 through it first, per manual? Any info on this would greatly be appreciated.

Blast away... that's the only way you'll find out.

The trigger goes back a ways... long DA pull, probably 3/8" or so.

Do a search for key terms like "Trigger pull" on the forum. I know with certainty that there are others on here with your concerns and they have already been addressed, to include pictures. I'm sure that will clear up any doubts/worries that you're having!

it IS a loooong trigger pull, part of what makes the Kahr safe to carry. My trigger breaks about 1/4" away from the frame. It does seem a long way at first, but you get used to it. It travels about as far as one of my double action revolvers does in double action until it breaks.

It's not my first Kahr, guys, so I know they're loooooong but this trigger must be pulled all the way back and then more oomph to get it to click.

It's not my first Kahr, guys

Forgot my mind reading hat at the office, sorry.

Dunno then... if you have one and you feel as though it's wrong, it probably is.

Wasn't directed at you. Bottom line I don't think a trigger is designed to be pulled all the way back to the front strap and then have to be pulled past the end to get it to click. Sorry, thought my first comment was clear - guess not. Past experience proves that rounds at the range improve a trigger. However this just seems to excessive of a pull; even on a CC gun.

Trigger reset is pretty much a complete forward motion, so much so that I just let it go all the way forward.

Been a while since I've squeezed the trigger of a fresh new Kahr, though.

I think I'll take it to the range and bang a hundo or so through it. Hey, it's a carry gun, not one I'm gonna match shoot. Thanks, guys. I'll report back.

Well, make sure it feels right... trigger should feel the same as your other one I'd think. Wouldn't hurt to email Kahr as well and get their thoughts on it.

My wife is watching her drama TV so I'm skimming between forums' active topics. :o

Update: I called Kahr and talked to "Rich." I told him the particulars and he said "uh, yeah it's not supposed to do that." He emailed me a pre-paid FedEx envelope and instructed me to send it in. ETA to get it back: 4-6 weeks. I'm happy with their service for picking up the shipping tab.

I don't know about "Rich" at Kahr, but all five of my Kahr's have always been like that. As long as they always go bang eventually, and they do, I don't worry about it.

Update: My Kahr has been shipped back in only 2 weeks!!! Nice job as I was originally told 4-6 weeks. Stay tuned to see how the fix went.

Got my CW40 back yesterday. Only 2.5 weeks later!!! Trigger is MUCH better. Richard called me to confirm I received it. The CS I've received Kahr has been exceptional. Very excited to finally getting this one to the range.
