As the saying goes....."a fool and their money"...
That is insane!

That's the most insane thing I've ever seen. Wonder if he waived the 7 dollar shipping fee?
Those are plain old wood, nothing special. They did an awesome job of whittling the anchor and checkering. Beautiful but holy cow. I think jeepster got it on the fool and his money.
Now if I could get that kind of loot, I could and WOULD quit my day job and reside in a cloud of sawdust all the rest of my days.

Cool and invisible gun!
Just floating grips.
Nice!
I think this is the gun that's suppose to go with those grips.

BTW,
Off Topic
The latest word on the P220 is I'm getting a stainless steel upgrade slide for free.
Presumably natural stainless finish so it's still two tone,
I'm not dancing in the street till it's in my hands though.
And I'm not convinced it's a shiny natural finish either.
I'm thinking a basic stainless with black nitron like most are these days.
I can live with a black slide if I have too.
The saga, and drama, continues on the latest episode of as the .45 turns - LOL!

I'd give my eye teeth for a set of grips like that, but I wouldn't empty my wallet.

Any gold in your eye teeth by chance? Those grips did get my wheels turning, most people have brains, I have wheels. I'm not good at carving but a shape like that I might be able to pull off. I shall experiment first chance I get.

Don't want to throw any cold water, but I think Kimber beat you to it. And I always thought Kimber was high on everything.

I glad there some movement on the problem. I held my nickel P220 up against one of my SS guns. The nickel is a much warmer colour than the SS.

Don't that beat all. Chap paid 400 plus for grips he could have bought for 54 bucks. Almost as insane as ebay.
I may try something along that line or similar just to see if I can do it. I kind of like the looks of a pin inlaid better but this might be a good thing sometimes too.

Yup,
I know.....
Most of my guns are stainless steel.
The nickel does have a very different look.
And all my controls are still nickel.
Oh well,
The closest thing I've got is my S&W 629 Mountain Gun.
It has a glass bead blasted satin finish that's something like a nickel look.
Not sure if that's an option for me if it's too shinny?
I'm trying to not get upset until I actually see the gun.
Was trying to get used to the thought of a Nitron slide look...
With nickel controls, stainless Bar-Sto barrel and Bedair guide rod it might look good?

Are they F_____G insane? They are proud of those grips. They would KEEP them for that price. Any sane person would not pay that price. I MUCH prefer Bawanna's grips. He does a much better job and you know it's done right.

There's a little gold in my molars. How much gold do you require, sir?

I really don't require no gold. I'm not in it for wealth. Course if I had gold in my teeth I'd probably pick it out and replace with lead for the profit.
You got a 1911 in inventory Mr. muggsy?

I've got a series 70 Gold Cup. That's my second love. I also had an original 1911 minus the A-1, made in 1913, but gave it to my #1 son. He has a great dad, doesn't he? :)
