Howdy all,
I need your help. Grips for my CW9, I would like to hear if anyone has experience with the Hogue Handall Jr Rubber Grip or the Agrip found on Kahrshop.com. What I need or think I need is a grip with a little more girth. I like the thin slide for IWB carry, but want more to hold on to, and a non-slip grip wouldn’t hurt. That’s my thinking, what’s yours? Any thoughts and/or experience would be helpful and greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I prefer the DECAL GRIP, Rubber. They stick really well, can be removed easily, the rubber does not act like sandpaper. I prefer to not wrap the whole thing, like some of the others. Just my .02.

I ordered a spare magazine and a Hogue Handall from Kahr. The shipment arrived yesterday. I pushed, pulled and stretched and have a grip that I ordered to protect my hand from the rough CW9 grip. I have not been to the range for a test run at this time. An added plus seems to me that the grip does fill my hand better and should improve my shooting of the CW9. It may be two weeks before I can range test these assumptions. So far I really like this pistol. The Hogue grip does not grab cover garments when I carry in a pancake holster. So far so good.

I have the Hogue Jr. Handall on my three Kahrs, P9-P45 and MK9. Makes a world of difference on the feel of the grip.

You can go to Wally World and buy a bicycle(26) tube, that will help with the grip. That would be the most economical alternative and you would have spare for later.:59:

You can also try this guy traction-grips (http://www.tractiongrips.com/catalog/i10.html), I bought from them and the grips are nice and blend in with my CW9.:59:

Pachmayr also makes a good slip on grip similar to the Hogue Handall.

I am also looking for some feed back on the Agrip also.
I have used the Hogue on Glocks for years so I know its good and cheap.
Some of the Glock shooters are using Talon grips also but I dont have any experience with them either.

If your using Agrip or Talon let us know what you think.

I have the Talon grips, they work great on my Glocks, the maker only do it for the Glock pistols though. The hold great so far.:yo:

I have the Hogue grips on my CW9 and wouldn't be without them. They feel great, work great and I shoot great with them on there.

Your right on the Talons being for Glocks only. I should have looked them up first before asking. Google is good :o.

Anyhow how about the Agrips fellas?

@ Sure Shot
I think you'll be more than happy with a $10 investment in the Hogue Handall Jr.. They fit great on the Kahr CW, P and PM, these grips will do exactly what you are looking for.

It's not the easiest thing to put on, but once there the effort and price paid are well worth it. The rear of the stock grip will eat up your hand, at least mine did. Now, no trouble and the CW9 is easier to control.

Thanks everyone, I knew if I asked a question on here the Kahr talk people would know the answers. Thanks again you answered my question. You told me everything I needed to know, I think I’m going to try the Hogue Handall and see if that does the trick.
Thanks again you guys are great wealth of knowledge

I just picked up a new CW9 (my first Kahr) and didn't want to add much thickness to existing grip so I used the old fix that another poster already mentioned.

I cut a 2" long piece from a 700c bike tube and stretched it over the grip. Because it's much smaller than a typical 26" tube it's stretched very thin which still allows the original texture to be felt--it's just much less abrasive:

Looks good, I have that setting on my PF9, actually I bought the 27(I guess 26 should be a bit bigger and easy to install) and it was very hard to install(27) but it really does not add to the grip, you can barely notice.:86:
Congrats in your new acquisition!

I have the Agrip on my CW9 and am very happy with it. It gave enough thickness to make it easier to hold onto and is a smooth, yet non-slippery feel. It seemed cheap when putting it on and trimming it, but after it is attached, it holds well and it has been over a year for me.
