Hello guys and girls. I have been away from Kahrtalk for about five months and hope everyone has been well. Since I last posted, I've been obsessing on the AK47 rifle platform. No matter how hard I try, I cannot obsess on more than one thing at a time. I must have some mental deficiency. Anyway, I thought I'd share some pictures of where my money and passion has been directed in recent months.
The rifle below is a Russian made AK74 that has been rechambered (not by me) for the AK47's 7.62X39 mm round. With the Aimpoint Microsight I've added, it should be capable minute-of-Hadji accuracy at three hundred yards. The magazine is a thirty rounder made by U.S. Palm.

The rifle below is a milled receiver Bulgarian made by The Firing Line. The folding stock kind of offsets the added weight of the milled, versus stamped, receiver. I plan to keep this rifle stock and use only the iron sights. The magazine shown is a Hungarian twenty rounder developed for use in Hungary's AMD65 AK47.

Finally, here's a pic of the Hungarian AMD65 that spent a little while with me.

I've enjoyed these rifles and learning about the many, many variations and the history behind them.
Thanks for looking.
