Free Kahr magazine issue

Just got my free Kahr magazine. It is tight in the well, IE when I push the release it does not drop free. Is there something I need to do to make it drop free like the one that came with my CW9?

Hehe-
I just had the same issue recently-

You have to take a pliers and gently squeeze the mag just below the feed lips (take the spring and follower out first) until it can drop free.

I think over on the kahr tech section this is a tutorial on cw45 fixes that addresses this magazine fix. It is simple done, just go slowly and about what Kay! said is right to..

If u have not read those two good stickyps over on the kahr tech section, it would be a good thing to do. u will ge tto know your kahr better to.

Well, it turns out Kahr sent me the wrong magazine. I have a 9mm and they sent me the 40 magazine. The size difference is pretty large and the follower is different also. the 9 is a consistent o.481 inches top to bottom +/- .002
The free magazine is labeled as the .40 and is a very consistent 0.491 from top to bottom. Also the follower is different. On the 9 there is a round metal button on the front left side. On the free one, there is a rectangular metal piece in the same position.

It may or may not work but I think I will write Kahr and see what they say. :confused:

E-mailed Kahr yesterday evening and heard back from them this morning. They are going to ship me the correct magazine and a prepaid shipping label to send the 40 magazine back. This is looking like VERY GOOD customer service to me. :D

KAHR has excellent CS. Unlike way too many other companies.

Kahr came through. Proper magazine received along with the prepaid shipping label to ship the 40 mag back. They came through as promised.
