I have some thoughts on this but would like to hear first from my Kahr Brothers and sisters. Listen carefully kids.

So they make only enough to get the freebies the state offers... even though they could make more money if they wanted to.
Just another couple playing the "work only hard enough to get everything we can for free, even though we're healthy and could be working like everyone else" game.

They interviewed them on TV this morning. Let's all do it and see how the country holds together.......oh wait someone has to be actually working to pay for the "free insurance".
Plus the fact with his occupation how much money is "off the books" so as to qualify for the hand outs?

I would recommend they not save anything for their kid's higher education; that way they can get it free.

Wow! Did you guys actually watch the whole thing?
Admittedly, this is not for everyone and they as much say so, but what they are doing shouldn't be taken as a threat. It's really quite cool. :)

It would be cool if they paid their own healthcare too, or learn medicine and take care of themselves. I watched it all.

Threat is not a word I would use to describe the feeling. Instead, the way they brushed over the healthcare matter was slick in minimizing how much of our $ actually goes into keeping ourselves healthy or have the ability to get healthy if needed. If they paid $ for their healthcare, they would be living in a dumpster--that simple. So the expose was not an accurate one. It is not a reality without someone else paying for some of the things they need. It doesnt make it bad or good it just makes the whole idea untrue. No I am not taking a position on national healthcare or the good and bad of our healthcare system. I am just commenting on what I believe to be true with the healthcare system working here today.

They seem happy, they are creative and don't appear at all lazy. I think they are either naive or counting on Lady Luck when I hear they have no Emergency Fund or Life insurance. If they don't save some serious money for their child's college, they will close out a lot of that child's options. Its an alternate lifestyle and I can admire a few aspects of it. They do need to figure out how to provide there own healthcare.

Just another couple playing the "work only hard enough to get everything we can for free, even though we're healthy and could be working like everyone else" game.I don't know where you get your ideas they could simply make more if they wanted to. Anyway, more stay at home Moms would do our society and future generations a LOT of good!
The ONE freebie they get costs the State nothing until they have a claim. So far, they have been lucky and are healthy.
I don't find the story title too accurate. They aren't really living well by my standards. I guess dumpster diving isn't for me.

I don't have a problem with how they are living except for the "free healthcare".
Those of us who work at real jobs are paying for their "free healthcare". Other than that I say to each his own. If they're happy with their lifestyle then I'm happy for them.
