I purchased a CW9 from another owner, I believe I'm the 2nd owner but neither of the previous owners sent in the warranty registration card. Should I? Do you think it will give me the coverage?

Most here operate on a don't ask, don't tell. A completed warranty card is not needed. In theory, they could ask for it an a receipt.

So I shouldn't send it in... and just assume that if I have a problem they'll cover it under warranty?

If you must assume, then assume that they won't - that way if you're wrong you'll feel relieved instead of disappointed, and if you're right, you're prepared for the bill.

warranty card registration is not a prerequisite for honoring a warranty. Sending it in just puts you in their system. I'm not sure it means anything, as anytime I have communicated with CS they just ask me all my information all over again. My gut feeling is that the registration cards are in a very deep stack of irrelevant "stuff to do" . I could very well be wrong, but I have yet to come across a time when they were referred to.
Now, how you deal with the honor issue, and the intents under which you bought the firearm, Is for you to decide.

I think thunder is right,if u have a registgration card fill it out and send it in. That serves another purpose also. If by chance Kahr had to have a recall on a certain model gun in a certain serial number area. They now have u gun on file to proceed as necessary.

Remember that you can register your gun on Kahr's website too, which is what I did. If you bought one of my Kahr's, the blank warranty card would be in the box, but the gun is definitely registered in my name with Kahr. Just something to think about before you try to "game" the maker for warranty work when you're not the original buyer. Ain't technology great?

I'm not really trying to get one over on anyone... The gun has no problems that I can tell, and hopefully won't. I don't mind paying for work that needs to be done if it needs it. Hopefully if it ever does need work it will be after I've put thousands of rounds down range and I'll almost be proud of the pistol needing work...
I'm just one of those guys that always registers a product... even a $12 nose hair trimmer I bought last weekend.

From my own personal experience and from listening to the stories that I've heard from others, Kahr stands behind their products. If your gun fails do to defective material or workmanship, Kahr will generally repair it at little or no cost to you. Rest easy.

I just bought a CW45 at a gun show from a dealer and went on line and filled out the online registration form. But, I did have a minor problem with a magazine part from my other Kahr and they just asked me for the model of the pistol, my address and sent it to me. IMO Kahr CS is very easy to work with.

Do you have the original receipt?
