How Often to Replace Magazine Spring

I know Kahr recommends replacing the recoil spring ever 1200-1500 rounds. After how many rounds of standard pressure rounds should the magazine spring be replaced? Also, are there advantages to the Wolf +5% magazine spring? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I can't advise about the wolf spring because I haven't tried it.

My commander rotates his mags out every week to every other week to help them last longer. I'd say once you start having consistent feeding malfunctions, it's time for new springs/mags!

I used to be a devout mag swapper and rested mags about every month or so. I don't bother anymore. I think spring technology is so improved they'll last a long long time. I never replace mag springs unless as mentioned I start having issues.
Honestly I never change recoil springs either, same deal.
I've never used the +5% Wolfes but have heard from people who have and they are happy with them. Can't really hurt.

I wouldn't worry about them unless you have a lot of failures to feed. I replaced the ones in my K9 mags with Wolff's +5% springs after about 10 years constant use... always loaded. I hadn't had any problems, but just figured I would change those and the ones in my S&W 645 that were at least 15 or so years old and always loaded.
I bought the full replacement spring kit for the 645, but only replaced the recoil spring and the magazine springs. There was a sh!tpot of tiny springs and I didn't feel like tearing the gun down to see where they went!

Same hear I don't much worry about them if the pistol is operating the way it was designed to operate.

I believe in preventative maintenance, but at the same time I don't fix what ain't broke. If at 1500 rounds the gun is still going strong it isn't likely to fail at 1501. I avoid +P ammo even though the manufacturer say that the gun can handle it. Standard ammo is just as effective and much more pleasant to shoot. Keep your gun clean and properly lubed and it will be a friend for a long time.
