My goal for this thread is to become a source for anyone from ANY state to search for their state name and find the laws governing them with links.
Rules of this thread:
1)Posts are limited to ONLY the laws in your state...not discussions.
2)Anything posted MUST be fact and supported with clickable links to 1st hand information.
3)Please don't repost for states unless someone missed something. In that case it must be factual and backed with citations.
4)Please put the name of your state in the "Tags" section when posting so that people searching can find this information.
5)In the end, this thread should be a one-stop-shop for people with legal questions.

Missouri

This is a summation of where we can't carry in Missouri from the NRA("Subsection 1" of our Law):

Concealed firearms cannot be carried in or on posted private
property and the following public places
• police stations without consent, correctional facilities, prisons, and
jails;
• courthouses;
• polling places on election day;
• governmental meetings and portions of public buildings that
prohibit carrying firearms by ordinance or regulation;
• bars and lounges, or restaurants that derive less than fifty percent of
income from the sale of food;
• secure areas of airports or any place where the carrying of firearms is
prohibited by federal law;
• college or universities or any facilities owned by colleges or
universities; elementary or secondary schools without the permission
of school officials or any child care facility without the permission of
the manager;
• riverboat gambling facilities;
• buses or bus stations;
• gated areas of amusement parks;
• churches or other areas of worship without consent;
• sports arenas or stadiums with a capacity of five thousand or more;
• hospitals accessible by the public.
Carrying a firearm while intoxicated is prohibited

This is straight from the Attorney General's sight. I never caught this subsection until today, but I LOVE Missouri for it!!!

"Carrying of a concealed firearm in a location specified in subsection 1 of this section by any individual who holds a concealed carry endorsement shall not be a criminal act but may subject the person to denial to the premises or removal from the premises."

Here is the Federal Firearms Laws (http://www.nraila.org/federalfirearms.htm#toc).

There really is no Federal list of prohibited places. Just Sec. 930. Possession of firearms and dangerous weapons in Federal facilities in Federal Firearms Law (http://www.nraila.org/federalfirearms.htm#toc). But really it is a statement in a states law like ... and anywhere prohibited by Federal law. To me, that means Post Offices, military bases, Federal buildings, and Federally protected areas of airports.

State of Alaska has probably the best firearms laws in the country.

Here is the criminal statute:
http://www.legis.state.ak.us/basis/folioproxy.asp?url=http://wwwjnu01.legis.state.ak.us/cgi-bin/folioisa.dll/stattx08/query=11!2E61!2E190/doc/{@1}?firsthit (http://www.legis.state.ak.us/basis/folioproxy.asp?url=http://wwwjnu01.legis.state.ak.us/cgi-bin/folioisa.dll/stattx08/query=11%212E61%212E190/doc/%7B@1%7D?firsthit)

Here are the general terms of concealed carry:
http://dps.alaska.gov/statewide/PermitsLicensing/concealedhandguns.aspx

Bottom line is "Alaska Statute 11.61.220 allows anyone 21 or older, who may legally carry a firearm to also carry it concealed without having to obtain a special permit. The possession of a firearm at courthouses, school yards, bars and domestic violence shelters will continue to be prohibited. Alaskans may obtain a concealed carry permit if they want reciprocity with other states." Other pertinent points are you can't drink in a restaurant and you have to tell any peace officer that contacts you that you are carrying. You also cannot bring a concealed weapon into another person's home without permission.

Virginia

Virginia concealed carry is administered by the counties and there is wide latitude in how it is interpreted. Some counties are very liberal, most not. Virginia is at least a "Shall issue" state.

I would add that parts of the Penal Code, and Code of Criminal Procedures would need to be reviewed, but if I remember correctly, the pertinent parts are covered in the book. I also don't remember seeing many if any changes since 2007 and that legislature. I'll review that tonight and make sure though. (Although I have no idea why we would need the bible in class tonight it's Spanish week at the Academy.)

The "Employer Parking Lot Bill" is the only substantial legislation I'm aware of that's had any real effect since 2007.... unless you consider the MPA as well. I forgot which session passed the "Motorist Protection Act"

New Jersey has it the simplist:

No includes everywhere
and lastly Forgedaboudit
Unless you are an Active duty Cop, involved with Tony Soprano, Urban thug or Gang Banger!

The Pennsylvania has one of the more open, yet complex laws in the country.

There are some outstanding resources available on other forums.

That was the most legalese description of the NJ laws I've ever read.
Accurate, succinct, and informing... what don't you understand about the word NO?
