O.K. is it right in front of me?
I'm trying to input my CW45 into my inventory and I can't find the serial #'s. There's one on the box and I wanted to make sure it matched the firearm as well.

Turn the gun over and look at the bottom of the dust cover. Hint, forward of the trigger bow.

On your copy of the registration paperwork.

Maybe on the frame, facing downward, under the guide rod?
That's where my Glock's SN is

Found it on the frame, now I'm looking for it on the slide.

The slide is not serial numbered, only the frame.

I've never found one on the slide of my CW45.

I guess the factory doesn't have to worry about mis-matching them then.
Seems kind of strange to me...

The frame is the "gun" as it has all of the fire control built into it. This is what legally has to have a serial number. The slide is not the "gun" and needs no serial number. (One of the reasons why you can ship a slide by USPS without being a FFL holder.)
These are not custom fitted guns. Any CW 45 slide will fit any other CW 45 frame. Same with all of the PM, CM, CW, etc. series. Not sure about the steel framed guns or how they are fitted.

Kahr aren't German made. Kahrs are American made. Only the Germans match serial numbers. Matching serial numbers went out with hob nail boots and swastikas. :)
