I sent the paperwork to Kahr in response to the free magazine offer. I requested another 6 round magazine, but they saw fit to send me the 7 round mag. Anything I need to look for? It seems to be the newer 7 round mag. Thanks a bunch for any help!

Shoot it gator. If it gives you trouble you can ask Kahr to replace it with a 6 round. Many have no issues at all with the 7, haven't heard of any recent 7 round issues now that I think about it.

I guess I should have been a little more clear:D The mag is the on with the newer base plate. I read about problems with the "older" 7 rd mags, didn't know if anybody here has had problems with the latest edition.

I have one of the "new style" 7 rounders and it's been fantastic.

If you're dead set on a 6 rounder, I'll trade you straight up for the 7 rounder :)

You know I asked Kahr a while back when they were going to start putting this new design into production and I was told Kahr had no intentions on putting out a new design. I said well how do you explain the rumors and pictures of this new design and all they could say was there were no plans to make a new design. I shot another email to Kahr and was just like WTF? And attached the picture to my email to Kahr. Cant wait to see what they say.

It's just a different baseplate... good for the range and a spare carry magazine, I really don't personally care what it looks like.

Ok guys, I took a little trip to the range today to test my new 7 round mag. 100 rounds without a hiccup of any kind. I like that, but I won't be sticking it in my pocket with the 7 rd mag. It add just enough to make it uncomfortable even in my biggest pockets.

Go to the Kahr website, and the offer should be on the front page!

yeah, me, too. heading to the range at lunch to finish my 200-round break-in. perfect through the first 50 rounds. we'll see how the next 150 go ... nice to have a second magazine along, though.
